I am reading Innocent Blood by Graham Masterton. It is a book about terorsits who start blowing up the hollywood film studios because the are blasphemers. Later it transpires that it is a group abused young adults who are hitting back at images portaying happiness whilst they were being abused. So far it is good fun if a little dark reading.

"Never let me go" by Kazuo Ishuguro

Just finished - "PS I love you" by somebody - it was the 99p book with the Times last week.

Also just started a Clive Barker book, but can't remember which one.

I've got about 12 books on the go. I just keep forgetting where I've put them and it depends what mood I'm in.

For Auschwitz - need to be in a serious mood
For Fingersmith - need to be in the bath
Chick Lit - on the train, and when I'm in light and frothy mood
Constant Gardener - determined - not my kind of book, but I'm gonna get thru it if it kills me.

then there is the text book stuff I need to read for work

I'm sure there are many of us that could impress you with our literary talents Gary.

GG...I was impressed with two, but twelve is out there!

I tried reading two books at once, ages ago. One was an Agatha Christie, and the other was a browse through the Oxford dictionary. Bit confusing, but apparently, I recall that the zebra did it!

You could look at it like I'm very fickle, or I have a short attention span.

But I'm sticking with Never Let Me Go, till I've finished it.

I AM CURRENTLY READING 'BRICK LANE' BY MONICA ALI

BASICALLY ITS ABOUT A YOUNG GIRL CALLED NAZNEEN & HER INAUSPICIOUS ENTRY TO THE WORLD AN APPARENT STILLBIRTH BORN ONTO THE HARD MUD FLOOR OF A BANGLADESHI VILLAGE HUT IT IMBUES IN HER A SENSE OF FATALISM THAT SHE CARRIES ACROSS CONTINENTS

WHEN SHE IS MARRIED OFF TO CHANU AT 18 SHE MOVES TO THE U.K. HER NEW LIFE IN LONDONS TOWER HAMLETS IS ON THE SURFACE CALM FOR YEARS. NAZNEEN SUFFERS THE LOSS OF HER FIRST BORN CHILD & IN KEEPING HER HOUSE & BRINGING UP HER DAUGHTERS SHE DOES JUST WHAT IS EXPECTED OF HER.

AS THE BOOK PROGRESSES NAZNEEN WALKS A TIGHTROPE STRETCHED BETWEEN HER DAUGHTERS EMBARRASSMENT AND HER HUSBANDS RESENTMENTS OVER HIS JOB AND LIFE.

INTO HER LIFE WALKS KARIM & THEY START AN AFFAIR. HE SETS QUESTIONS TO HER OF LONGING AND BELONGING & OPENS HER EYES TO THE WORLD AND WHAT CAN BE ACHIEVED...

HE SPARKS IN HER AN 'ESCAPE' HE OPENS BOTH HER EYES AND DIRECTS HER GAZE - BUT WHAT SHE SEES, IN THE END COMES AS A SURPRISE TO THEM BOTH........

iT IS A GREAT BOOK AND VERY FUNNY TO READ ESPECIALLY THE WAY THE BOOK IS WRITTEN IT WAS NOMINATED FOR THE BOOKER PRIZE A FEW YEARS AGO - WELL WORTH THE MONEY SPENT IT MAKES YOUR SIDES ACHE IN PARTS WITH THE SIMPLE HUMOUR...

Finished "Never Let Me Go" It was ok.

Might read something light and fluffy before moving on to the Lincoln Lawyer.

Need a break from literary novels. Also need a break from Alvin Hall "you and your money" He's going to sort my finances out for me. I expect he tell me to join the library.

Just finished reading Judy Garlands biography, who knew she had such a troubled and turbulant time.

Also loved Memoirs of a Geisha but I'm too scared to see the movie in case it isnt as good.

I need some recommendations for my next reads so hit me with them.
