Posted: 5/20/2006 9:04:44 AM | Laughing after sex is completely normal. When I was younger I used to wonder if the laughter centre of the brain was close to the orgasm centre. First time it happened to me, it was really embarrassing because my GF was a little self-conscious about her oral abilities. Fact was, she did such an amazing job that I couldn't help but giggle after, but you try explaining that to a woman who's nearly crying. Luckily I had the opportunity to prove my point several more times.
My last partner was the same way as me, which occasionally lead to some funny moments if we we're both laughing away. As long as the giggles come after/nearly after, I know I did my job well.
Sex builds up a lot of tension and energy in the body. Orgasm triggers a release of some of it, but whatever's left over has to come out some way. Be thankful that it isn't crying, which is also normal apparently, but obviously not nearly as fun. | |

I actually had a friend that told me she couldn't help but cry after sex/orgasm. She herself couldn't understand it, and she worried that it made her partner feel bad.
My guess is that an orgasm instigates the release of powerful hormones, ones which rile the emotions. | |

The body needs to release the tension not actually released during orgasm, and an emotional reaction is the best way for it to do it. Laughter is obviously preferable, but be thankful it's not anger. I'd prefer having joking about ourselves than the whole snuggling thing- it's usually too hot to snuggle after.

To me quality sex is not the pack of screaming orgasms and mass rituials. It's comfortable sex with a partner who is so comfortable with sex that, if the phone goes off she will still answer it because she doesn't want to miss the latest but will still contiue the sex because she doesn't want to miss that either.
Chatting, laughing, anything else that is done when together. Why are they supposed to be put on hold during sex??? | |
