..Finding true love....the fact is I don't believe in fairytales anymore....and I don't expect that I'll be swept off my feet by Prince Charming anytime soon, but just in case, polishing up my glass slippers

and finding the right one over 60 is the problem....seems gravity doesn't take hold it let's go and men in and over 60 still prefer those "youngins"...

Posted: 8/3/2009 12:03:15 PM | Because most women over 60 have worked hard for what they have and do not want to end up giving it to a man without means. Having put a husband through ubiversity and put most of a down payment on a house only to divorce a couple of years later. Then paying my way through university building a small but financially stable business and a house that is mortgage free I have no interest in supporting another man who is not as financially stable as I am. So unless and unill I find a fellow who can/ has looked after himself financially I shall live blisfully single. Also I do not think any union would be "potentially great" if there was not a level playing field financially.

Posted: 8/3/2009 7:49:41 PM | Hello to all. New to e-dating and it seems a strange way to meet someone.
The subject was, "Over 60...Finding True Love> Fact or Fantasy," but hardly
any of the posts deal with the subject. Just like the students I taught at the
university level for over 30 years. Most could not find a topic to write about, and
when they did, could not stay within their topic.
This is just a back and forth between men and women, both genders in most cases,
shouting, "we are the better one." No wonder so many of the individuals on PlentyofFish
are divorced. The subject is a valid one, but the results of the forum are just hot air.
I am amazed, after looking at profiles, how many women are terribly over weight. It is
not healthy...and perhaps possible dates /mates, see this as both unattractive and also
as big an issue as the Oh Mighty Dollars the forum is really about, be it consciously or sub-
consciously. If a male is over 60, might he be concerned that the "weight problem" will
lead to diabetes, then heart problems and then the six foot deep hole in the earth. Being
voluptuous, such as in a Rubens painting is one matter, being obese is another. Heart
disease from being over weight is the leading cause of DEATH in the U.S.
Though this follows cj's post, the final paragraph obviously does not apply to her. | |
