Many of you have probably heard of Sylvia Brown, well, here's her little spiel on Virgos:

"Virgos are promiscuous, but they have a prudish exterior. They are very sexually oriented, but they have an immense ability to sublimate this sexual energy."
"Meticulousness is a trait of theirs"
"They need to be 'on top' of everything"
"Virgos are the slow smoldering type"
"They are retentitive in almost all areas, with a file-cabinet mind"
"A soft heart is another mark of Virgos"
"They are close-knit with their family"

There's more, but I have to catch my bus for class

Enjoy!

First of all, that comment was entirely off topic. This thread is about Virgos, NOT young ladies whom you find to be inappropriate dating partners.
Secondly, your statement is both redundant and completely unjustified. Until you've dated every single 18 year old female on the planet, you have no right to make generalizations of any kind.
Thirdly, your post wasn't likely to endear you to any of the ladies around your age group, seeing as how they've ALL (at one time or another) been 18. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

OT: I maintain my previous post, and heartily recommend Brown's book.

I am another Virgo. My first girl and my two wives were all Scorpios. I wish i could find the first one and forget the other two.

Now I'll try any sign. But Scorp would be last resort. I can't trust them. Personally, that is.

Virgos

" Purest of all signs.Rarely led astray because of an instinct of chastity. They are idealistic and discriminating, conscientious and loyal.Virgos cannot just shrug their shoulders after a relationship has faltered like those of other signs. It takes a long time to pick up the shreds.A lesson for virgos is to avoid a tendancy to overanalyze. Thus being able to stay out of their own way."

essentials: Virgos don't have the compatibles like other signs.Capricorn is as close as we are going to get. "Virgo Island" LOL. I love it!

OP: Here is what I read about attracting all the virgo men on here."Be neat, punctual, fair, and honest about everything"

Taurus/Virgo is also usually a good combination. Also must say that although we are very discriminating (picky!) about finding the right partner, when we do find someone that can hold our interest, we are very, very passionate and very committed to that person/relationship.

Lightbulb moment here...... gee, maybe I need to look for another Virgo.

^^^^^^^Very passionate, but only with the right person.... if there wasn't any passion it just wasn't the right person.......there definitely has to be physical chemistry or it ain't ever gonna happen. Like I said, we're not just passionate, we're picky too, won't settle for someone who isn't what we want......

....now back to my search for another virgo..... LOL

If anyone thinks that they can truly categorize someone based on an astrological sign, I feel sorry for them. A guy was once dating this girl whose family was huge into astrology, and it really made him feel uncomfortable, because apparently, she only got to know him based on his "sign". After dating for a while, he was invited to her family's holiday dinner, and he decided to pass out a 'knowledgable', non-newspaper astrology analysis out to everyone, based on their sign.

Well, everyone was Oohing and Ahhing, and got to like the guy. After the dinner, he let everyone know that he mixed all the signs with the readings. Needless to say, he didn't get laid for a while by his girl, as her whole family was disappointed after talking about it all the whole time, agreeing with the 'false readings'.

Anyway, there may be a vague coorelation to a season and when someone is born, and how that may have an influence in some of the ways about them -- on a small scale, *all things being equal*. However, so much more factors play a role in someone's upbringing -- genetics, parenting, family circumstances, environment outside of parenting, etc -- that if there is anything to astrology (time of year in which you're born), it's pretty weak. Additionally, even in the well-thought out astrology descriptions, one can always find similiarities. If you keep things vague enough, you can always say "yeah, in that way, I'm like that..." or "I'm not quite like this, but the other thing they said, it's dead on!" It can be made where it's never 100% wrong, because it's left up to interpretation, or has so many things "about you" that many will of course be correct.

It's an interesting thing, but don't take it seriously. By the way, I'm Aquarius. :)

Frangal,

"I like Virgos wish more were around" -- first, it doesn't make complete sense, but hey, it may be after bar hours.

More importantly, if you wish that there were more Virgos around, why not have men lie about their age? Women do so to be younger -- why not guys do it to be of a different "sign"?

I think when it comes to women, you would score more points by being "the sign" they want!

"Oh my god, I can't believe I met a Virgo!!"

"Yeah, baby... I'm a Virgo. It means I'm .... compatible to your desires. Yeah, that's it. That's the ticket!"

Is there any way to get voted off the island? If so, I feel like I have done it.

I am proud to be a Virgo!!!!What these 2 Leo woman said about virgo's don't bother me a bit!!!They more than likely lost a guy to a friend that was a virgo!!!!We are all very attractive and we know how to get what we want!!!!!I have some friends that are Leo's and they are all jealous of me,to a degree!!!!!!! I am always able to attract tons of guys and i am very good looking, and my friends don't seem to have that nack like i do!!!!!I have strong feelings on stuff, and i am by no means shallow!!!!!When i love someone i love strong. When someone does something bad to me,i get even!!!!All my friends like me and respect me too!!It all goes both ways, give respect to get respect!!!!!I am psychic and i do the tarot, but i don't throw astrology in peoples faces!!The ones that say the negative stuff about virgos,GROW UP!!!!!!

The explanation is very simple..."virgo" falls into the 8/9 month of the year...if you count backwards, that means conception occurs during winter months AND during the holiday season. With the need to snuggle and keep warm added with a little bubbly for the New Year, it's no wonder that births peak within the month of September.

i dont have a problem with virgo's it's the damn aquarious that i keep finding.......and umm scorpio/aquarious.........not good.....we are both too strong willed..........and not every virgo or scorpio are the same either.........there is different factors....like day of birth, time of birth, year...........like they said there is two sides to every sign and negative and postive to each.......................so you can't jsut go on their sign.............but i really like taurus.........any taurus holla at your girl.............or umm.cancer, virgo, pices or capicorn..............i'm not picky.............lol..........kay i am a lil............

Thats pretty close but I take exception to the promiscuous part!!
I have terrible luck with Capricorns!! No more of them for me.
I wonder what two Virgos are like together?
