OT: I could almost kinda sorta smell the muck today on my walk. I can't wait for that day again! And the sunshine was absolutely glorious! I swear if you found a spot out of the wind you could have convinced yourself it was spring.

Spring is evil and sneaky in this province! At least in Manitoba the one day that is spring, before the high winds and +35c temps role around, really FEELS like spring! | |

I am heading south for a couple of weeks on wednesday so when I get back I expect you people to have this winter thing all cleaned up.

Posted: 3/2/2007 6:09:49 AM | | I'm always amazed at people's thoughts on the weather. Saying we have no nice weather except three weeks in August? I play ball two nights a week, starting in May. Last year we had an extraordinary amount of rain in June, but other than that, weather was pretty nice. Since we don't live in the tropics I don't really expect it to get to 35 and up all the time. Then everyone would complain about how hot it is. Someone in my store the other day said what a long winter we had. Give me a break...in Halifax we had snow on the ground (in any amount) maybe twice. I'm thinking Ontario would think that was pretty much a perfect winter, compared to theirs. | |

I got home from my trip last night and was expecting it to be freezing cold.....It wasn't too bad I must say.
It just needs to get a wee bit warmer and I will be having a welcome to spring party at my place. Bon fire in the back yard and everything !!!!! | |

Posted: 3/23/2007 9:01:21 AM | Yay! It's spring! I woke up on the 21st, the first full day of spring and what was it doing? That's right...blizzarding (yeah, it's a word now!).
But...on the 22nd, I woke up and looked outside my window, before I even got out of bed and what did I see? Two robins...the first harbingers of spring!
Does anyone else get major spring fever? I do, you can't tell by reading, but I type like I talk and I'm really hyper right now, so the fingers are just flying over the keyboard.
I can't wait to get out the fishing pole and next month I'm hoping to get my boat...yay! I know, the way to celebrate rebirth and all that is by going out and killing something...if it makes anyone feel better, I never catch anything.
