and one of my favorite movies, Office Space:
Bob: Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately.
Peter: Well, I wouldn't exactly say I've been *missing* it, Bob.

[Before I start this I am to claim that I have nothing aganist gheys.] From 'Mean girls', the main character is narrarting at the beginning about how she was homeschooled and about the common misnception of all homeschoolers being'weirdly religious' freaks and show a clip of group of young kids that are obviously deep south country bumpkins wearing overalls with goofy grins on their face, and the one of the kids says with a Thick Southern accent :

"
And on The Third day, God created the Remington bolt-action rifle so that Man could fight the dinosaurs..And the homosexuals. Amen!"

Well, I believe in the soul, the**** the ****, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. -Crash Davis---Bull Durham 1988

Bridges of Madison County -"This kind of certainty comes but once in a lifetime."

Grapes of Wrath - "Tom Joad: Well, maybe it's like Casy says. A fellow ain't got a soul of his own, just little piece of a big soul, the one big soul that belongs to everybody, then...

Ma Joad: Then what, Tom?

Tom Joad: Then it don't matter. I'll be all around in the dark - I'll be everywhere. Wherever you can look - wherever there's a fight, so hungry people can eat, I'll be there. Wherever there's a cop beatin' up a guy, I'll be there. I'll be in the way guys yell when they're mad. I'll be in the way kids laugh when they're hungry and they know supper's ready, and when the people are eatin' the stuff they raise and livin' in the houses they build - I'll be there, too."

About Schmidt - "I know we're all pretty small in the big scheme of things, and I suppose the most you can hope for is to make some kind of difference, but what kind of difference have I made? What in the world is better because of me?"

Hi squirrly .. I was just about to post that line from Bridges of Madison County too! I guess you watched it last night too eh? I've seen that movie so many times but always cry when she's in the truck with her husband with her hand on the door handle deciding whether to bolt or not. I always wish she would go ... great movie!

Shawshank Redemption--

Red (Morgan Freeman): "Get busy livin'', or get busy dyin''....you''re Goddamn right."

American Beauty--

Carolyn Burnham (Annette Bening): How dare you speak to me that way in front of her. And I marvel that you can be so contemptuous of me, on the same day that you LOSE your job!

Lester Burnham (Kevin Spacey): Lose it? I didn''t lose it. It''s not like, "Whoops! Where''d my job go?" I QUIT. Someone pass me the asparagus.

Heathers--

J.D. (Christian Slater acting nervous after killing Veronica''''''''s ''''best friend''''): "... well at least you got what you wanted..."

Veronica (Winona Ryder whips her head over at him; staring hard): "It''s one thing to want someone out of your life; it''s another to serve them a wake-up cup of liquid drainer!"

First quote from Crash--

Graham (Don Cheadle): It''s the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We''''''''re always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something.

Go--

Tiny (Breckin Meyer) gets caught in a lie, and Marcus is hassling him for it--

Tiny: "why don''t you give a niggah a break??"

Marcus (Taye Diggs): Which niggah...? THIS niggah??? (pointing to himself)

Tiny: Yo man, I told you; my mother''s mother''s mother was black!

Marcus: Your mother''s mother''s mother, fawk! This ain''t "Roots", muthafawker! Man, I wanna see a picture of this Nubian princess. If you were any less black, you would be clear.

Sunset Boulevard - "Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close-up."

the final monologue in Trainspotting is pretty cool - "Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a ****ing big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of ****ing fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the **** you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing ****ing junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, ****ed up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin? "
