I enjoy a few every now and then, I don't get drunk though, I like to be in control of my body. I wouldn't even question why a guy doesn't drink, I totally believe there are men and women who just don't enjoy it. I have always found that the ones who have the problems with non drinkers are drinkers. | |

I guess it gives them confidence. I've seen it at many singles parties. We need more fishies to host non-drinking events to support the non-drinker. | |

I find that some men shy away from me because I dont drink...those men are no the ones for me...and I think those women are not the ones for you....keep looking there are lots of non-drikers or social drinkers out there who dont need the booze to have a good time and would probably love to go out with a man like you!!!. | |

You'll be pleasantly surprised at the number of activities that do not involve alcohol. My point was that there needs to be more. Besides, it wouldn't be a zero turnout, I'd be there. | |

When Im with a bloke who doesnt drink its a bit of a pain in the bum for me becasue I like going out with the person im with and having a few drinks and being silly- when they dont drink it means I dont drink either-I mean I dont want to be the only drunk person on a night out when everybody else is soba!! | |

It's true that you don't NEED alcohol to have a good time, but I've never seen a room full of teetotalers who ever did anything but stand around and look dumb. People who choose not to drink on occasion while amongst drinkers can be O.K., but more often than not, people who never drink at all are stiff, awkward, and dorky. JMO. | |

Posted: 1/23/2008 4:00:10 PM | I think it's a sign of the times. With people being busier with work, having to put in more hours and perform at their best as well as the harsh penalties for drinking and driving.
People drink less.
Also alcohol makers have less options for marketing their drinks so we are less inclined to be manipulated by the media.
Meeting at a bar has been replaced by meeting at a coffee shop which doesn't serve liquor.
I rarely drink. Maybe a single wine cooler with BBQ chicken on a hot day if I crave it. Otherwise, I also don't have the inclination. | |

Posted: 1/23/2008 8:20:03 PM | I love being around a man who dosn't drink, just knowing that he will still be the same man at the end of the night is a great comfort to me, and that he will be able to drive home.
I am happy all the time without drink and know many men who are the same also,,,, added to all of this is ,,,, they are able to perform better, and that is just wonderfull for me. | |

Posted: 1/5/2009 12:16:17 PM | My Dad died of drinking when I was 19. He had everything going against him. He was Scottish and in the military. Because of him I didn't really have a drink until I was about 22. I do enjoy a glass of wine and it is nice to share a bottle of wine with a man at dinner. I tend to get a non-alcoholic drink if I'm with someone who's a non-drinker because they have this way of making you feel guilty if you do get one.  | |

As for being a DD, been there, done that. I don't enjoy being around people getting drunk. Ever notice how many women's profiles show a picture of them at a bar or with a beer in their hand? Do a search and specify "do not drink". POF is just like the real world - extremely difficult to find someone who doesn't drink. Probably why I haven't had a date in 3 years. | |

Posted: 1/5/2009 3:43:16 PM | | I am seeing a man who drinks very little-as in a glass of wine with a meal.If we go out ,he does not mind if I order a drink, but will most likely have coffee.It is quite pleasant knowing that we will not wake up with hangovers,etc. It is his choice as he used to "party hearty",but is also a healthy choice as he is diabetic.I don't mind at all, as he is always capable of driving safely.Don't really know why it would be an issue! | |
