| What do you girls think about guys with guns? Posted: 9/23/2006 11:16:04 PM | wave your flag all you wish and bury your head in the sand. ignore the fact that the largest danger to aircraft in afghanistan was american stinger missiles, saddam was US backed, noriega was US backed, even ho chi mihn was US backed.... see a pattern there bud?
As for american bashing, nope not here, by and large many americans are generous caring people it is only flag waving "we're gods gift to the planet" americans that refuse to see facts and LEARN from mistakes that give the rest a bad name. And really that is too bad but people do tend to take more notice of loud squeaky wheels, when infact I highly doubt you represent the majority of your own neighbours.
If you are that curious about history read up on it I do belive the whitehouse was only burned to the ground once.
Yes we make mistakes here aswell, although we prefer to take responsibility and endevour not to repeat them. And we even have our own list of clowns that have gotten through the loopholes and obtainned ordinance they never should have had as evidenced by the recent disgrace at Dawson college.
This is actually too funny, all because some guy wanted to know if women like guys showing off guns in profiles. Maybe I should throw pic of sports cars in aswell and reeeeeeally over-compensate

| What do you girls think about guys with guns? Posted: 9/23/2006 11:46:06 PM | wsrfr - That comment about letting their **** hang out...I mean, most guys are really interested in sex, right?? Yet I don't see any guy showing off his assets, as blessed as he may be.. I'm not sure what your point is but POF rules forbid any nudity in pics. Hence you don't see any pics of guys cocks in their profile pics. Put one up and your account will likely get deleted. If nudity was allowed you can be pretty sure there would be a long line of clowns proudly showing their cock off...
How many times have you seen women in the forums ask what's with all these guys that send me a photo of their cock in their very first email to me???
LoonyTunz - Americans should be the last people to have a "right to bear arms" unlike the swedish where having a firearm is mandatory, yet they have fewer gun related crime. There should be an IQ cut-off for firearm ownership, so that people like****Chaney don't mistake people for quail, or american A-10 Warthog pilots don't mistake their allies for insurgents so often. Since your talking about IQ cut-offs, I'll point out the thread topic is "What do you girls think about guys with guns?" NOT "What do you Canadians think of America?"
What's so difficult about understanding that? As if there aren't a hundred threads on here bashing Americans that you could go post your on topic rants about America in...

Try reading it ALL, and if you notice I wasn't the one starting to rant about prying a gun from my cold dead hands
I support your right to your beliefs and will fight with my guns to defend that right even though I don't agree with you perhaps he should start shooting his like-minded neighbours :-S ? ^^^ that is your hero Ben

I'll never forget a date I had with a guy over 10 years ago. I liked him only as a friend. During dinner he pointed a gun at me to see my reaction. Wow, that left quite an impression on me. That was the last time I went out with him. Makes my point on IQ all too well.
Further I have no idea where they came up w/ the****pic part at all but the topic isn't "Let's try to correct everyone" either and i haven't seen where you made any reference to the topic of the need to display guns in a profile

| What do you girls think about guys with guns? Posted: 9/24/2006 12:52:26 AM | OK Tunz, I'm not saying that the U.S. hasn't attempted to influence world events, we have and will continue to do so. Some of our attemps were for good, some not so good.Americans are only human too, we too suffer from bad judgement and make mistakes. The point is that we attempt to influence world events because we can and as I said before, the only people that don't f*uck up are those who do nothing... BTW, what has Canada influenced lately? | |

Would you like it back now?
Page 6, msg# 149 by Indy38 - If I see someone *brandishing* a gun in their profile pics I would think they're immature and trying to come across as a badass, and they need to grow up a little! I'm all for responsible gun ownership and Concealed Carry laws... Anyone who thinks guns are an accessory to enhance their image are acting immature and childish. The best weapon is the one they don't know you have until your seconds away from using it to defend yourself. BTW If you look back at my post you'll see I attributed the cock pic comments to their author, not you... I was just pointing out WHY you don't see those here.
As for your comment...
Try reading it ALL, and if you notice I wasn't the one starting to rant about prying a gun from my cold dead hands That may be true, but you don't have to take the bait whenever someone tries to hijack a thread either...
That said, lets look at your other comment...
Yes we make mistakes here aswell, although we prefer to take responsibility and endevour not to repeat them. If that's the case why are you lecturing me that "the topic isn't "Let's try to correct everyone" either". Hmmm I thought you Canadians prefer to take responsibility for mistakes and endevour not to repeat them. Hows that possible when you don't seem to want to hear about mistakes having been made in the first place?
A poor analogy was made between posting pics of posing with a gun and a guy posting a pic of his cock. I just pointed out the obvious reason you don't see men posting pictures of their cocks on here. It seemed like an on topic observation to me...

I just love how people take a question for the girls and turn it into a constitutional issue. shows a lot of intelligence and thought. Just let the girls answer and stop being so defensive. Pictures of you and your gun have nothing to do with the constitution.
I agree holeheartedly...not too mention hi-jacking it completely. Keep it up and you'll get it deleted!
Ya wanna go on and on about guns and make it a pissing contest start your own thread. Leave this one to the OP.........
But must say some that I have seen out here are a bit out there with there pics, makes ya wonder, especially when they got that wild-eyed-look?
Still do not mind seeing 'em in hunting, on the job or military pics Nothin wrong with showing people your hobbies or your job. Unless ya got that wild-eyed-look...then you might not get any dates and the ones you do, you might need the gun for protection from her

| What do you girls think about guys with guns? Posted: 9/24/2006 7:02:37 PM | Profile pictures of men with guns ~ so long as it is in an appropriate setting, such as a military man, a hunter in the field or a marksman on the shooting range I have no problem with it.
Some shirtless, crazed looking guy posing with several semi-automatics and sniper rifles surrounding him in his living room would not get an initial email nor a response from me.
Firearms are not a turn-off for me, I was raised around guns and hunting.

| What do you girls think about guys with guns? Posted: 9/27/2006 2:49:25 PM | Men with guns...because they're hunters.....are a big turnoff to me, Ill still be friends with them or exchange emails, but I have no respect for anyone who can kill a living creature and feel proud about it...in this day and age its not about surviving, its about having no pity, no compassion! | |

Yes there are some very unfortunate accidents this is true, but the truth is also this, when you are out there FIGHTING to protect people.. and you have all those men with all those guns then guess what SHIT HAPPENS!!! Just like riding horses, if you haven't fallen off a horse then haven't ridden much!!!
BUT.. BACK ON TOPIC... I know it asks what girls think of men with guns but it seems most the women who like it also have their own GUNS, me included.

So I suppose it is more compassionate to let the overpopulation of the (insert particular animal) happen so then more starve to death, including young. Now how compassionate is it to be...an instant kill (or within a short amount of time, depends on the animal and the hunter and where they hit the animal the first time) ... or dying over a long period of time? Hmmm guess maybe I just happen to have empathy for animals and know that the wild happens, not on our terms or how we see it. That is just how it IS. It is not humane and it is not nice or compassionate.
Edit: Ok...me bad.... *where's that frying pan icon?*

| What do you girls think about guys with guns? Posted: 9/30/2006 2:22:36 AM | | I am glad i live in England where their are hardly any guns, i have never seen anyone with a gun before, the only time i have ever seen one is passing a hunting shop and looked in out of curiosity. Some kids, carry them and we have had some incidents, i cannot understand why people want them so much, i mean if you got into a fight you would used your fists, (not that i fight ) but if you had a gun, it would be much easier for someone if they got mad to used it. I think peope feel secure having them, in some countries. I don,t need one because i feel sucure because i know no one has one around me. Instead they just bash each other up when they lose their rag! Apart from the well mannerred people like me that is. | |

| What do you girls think about guys with guns? Posted: 9/30/2006 3:27:16 AM | I'll say again. Yes I have guns, but you won't see pics of them on my profile because I am happy with the size and girth of my "equipment" Now I just HAVE to address this

Hun I have been trained to kill if needed or ordered, and in my youth I have ridden horses, yet SHIT doesn't happen by my hand and I don't fall off horses. I doubt it's that I am better than everyone else, I just happen to use my head before puling a trigger or urging a stallion at full gallop over a blind ridge. Since you seem to still be insiosting that everyone even the truely stupid have the right to bear arms and show them off please have the courtesy to warn me in advance should you book a hunting trip in my neck of the woods so I can invest in Kevlar.

Just asking as it does relate to the only people of a certain intelligence should own firearms thing, wlthough you do have more open space than some area so more choice in locales to shoot that wouldn't end up lobbing shells into some kids playground.
