Mark an "X" beside sensitive movies about love with gay characters who act badly but get nominated for best actor and best movie...what does Hollywood know..right?? I recommend a new category for the Oscars...."Best scream performed by an actress/actor being mutiliated...LOL!!

| What is the last movie you've seen in the theatre or vid...? Posted: 5/13/2006 7:15:13 PM | Just went to see MI3... Hmmm.... It was OK, not great. They tried to make Tom look human, big mistake. He's not. They should have had some couch jumping instead of base jumping...
On the upside, first movie by myself in a long time. The first time is always the hardest, after that, I remember that most people are watching the movie and are pretty much unconcerned with what a guy would be doing at a movie by himself...

| What is the last movie you've seen in the theatre or vid...? Posted: 8/21/2006 7:52:56 AM | I recently saw the documentary Wordplay at the Globe Theatre with an erudite fellow who appreciated the film as much as I did.
From IMDB: Wordplay starts as the story of the New York Times crossword puzzle, and the current and historical creative forces behind it. But as it dances across the story, filling it in as one of its devotees might across the puzzles, it reveals an entire amazing world behind its practice, creation, and history, from the annual NY Times crossword convention in Stamford to the breadth of individuals who enjoy it daily.
This film was an absolute delight! I can also recommend another gem of a documentary, Mad Hot Ballroom ... can't really go wrong with any movie that has the tagline Anyone can make it if they know how to shake it!
Edit: Jack, you once again underestimate us [wow, that sure seems to be a predominant characteristic of the alpha male, doesn't it?]... Eraserhead is god. So is David lynch. :)
