I was calling you the sweetheart. And I'm sure I speak for redheads all over the world!!
Thank you for being the kind of guy who actually looks beneath the hair and skin to know the real person inside. Good to know there are guys like yourself.

| You think YOU have it tough?? Try being a redheaded guy! Posted: 3/19/2006 12:36:59 AM | Well thanks for all the comments people :) I am content with who I am and what I look like......but for sure, it is tough to attract the kinds of women I'm attracted to. Hell, one day I stumbled across my ex wife's profile on a dating site and low and behold......guess what her hair color preference said for her match? It only said brown, blond or black LOL | |

Irrespective of a few posters that want to make you feel better about your natural color, red hair is a turn off for women. You and I and the rest of humanity know that. You can have a pot belly, and there will always be some women out there that will chime in to say that a pot belly is sexy. Does that make it true? Of course not. Just as there may be a woman somewhere with red hair who considers herself a nice person. It's not impossible. Stranger things have happened. But case in point. I have already been threatened with violence from one redhead already. At any rate, your issue is different. Just color the hair.

I could care less how this guy "feels" when this thread dies, just stating that I think red heads are hot. Generalizing everyone in to one category is probably not the best idea.

Give whole new meaning to "red-headed stepchild"
As a red-head AND a step child I have grown to dislike that expression as well!
Gee... I always thought my red hair was one of my best features! It's still all there and still very thick, I am one of the lucky ones! Girls love to run their fingers through it.
Red heads are totally HOT!!

| You think YOU have it tough?? Try being a redheaded guy! Posted: 3/19/2006 1:26:44 PM | redwolf,
I might be crazy, but here in Chicago, I've seen many redheaded guys with all types of women. and all types of hair color. And believe me, people who put that much emphasis on hair color, eye color etc. are not valuable to you anyway.
Life is for the living. No matter what your hair color. You will turn on the person who really cares for you as a person and all you have to offer.
People like Phoenix never seem to be happy. Always sitting in judgement of things that mean absolutely nothing.
I wouldn't give up my hair color for anyone. That's one of my best traits..

| You think YOU have it tough?? Try being a redheaded guy! Posted: 3/19/2006 2:06:50 PM | LOL...trust me redwolf your not alone. us Red headed women have it hard too.
I often get complimented on my hair...but when it comes right down to a relationship i think the reputation that comes along with our hair scares them...they just cant handle the tempermental, stubborn, independant, "your around because i want you not because i need you", confident, i know i'm right and i'm prepared to proove it, reputation that comes with our hair color.
just like blondes get a bad rep for being ditzy..which not all of them are...red heads get a rep for having an attitude, which most of us do to some extent but the simple solution would be not to tick us off then you'll never have to see it lol.

Posted: 3/19/2006 6:27:55 PM | | I can't believe what I'm reading here. you are classifying all red headed people, especially women, as angry bossy, irritable, humorless people? that's really strange. that's like saying all blonde women are dumb. i know that I am not any of those things. but i do have natural red hair and i happen to have a great sense of humor, i love comedy, i love joking with people an pulling pranks and i barely ever get angry. i've know other red heads and they are not like how you say at all. i think you should drop your bias and your prejudism. its wrong and its dumb. that is all i have to say

| You think YOU have it tough?? Try being a redheaded guy! Posted: 3/20/2006 12:15:55 AM | Red haired men - hmmm
I am a red haired woman. I have 2 red haired sons, but I will admit, that a red haired man would not be top of my list of preferences. But then neither would blond men, or men with long hair.
Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them, just not my personal first choice if I was stating what would be my visual preference.
But if he fulfilled the personality criteria, then the hair colour is the least of my concerns

| You think YOU have it tough?? Try being a redheaded guy! Posted: 3/20/2006 12:22:23 AM | | LOL! I was thinking of that South Park episode every time I read a post in this thread. "Better red than dead!" I've always been jealous of redheaded girls because a few cute guys I know have a major thing for redheads (which sort of influenced my decision to dye mine red, lol). But like I said earlier, every redhaired guy I've known has ended up finding attractive women to settle down with, so there are aparently big redhead fans of both sexes. I'll just sit here and keep on being jealous of the natural redhaired women. ;) | |

| You think YOU have it tough?? Try being a redheaded guy! Posted: 3/20/2006 5:08:54 AM | It's silly to make assumptions about a person's personality based on hair color...as well as rule them out as potential partners. It's just hair! Though everyone has preferences, which is fine...the bottom line is, it's all about confidence and how you carry yourself. Either dye your hair if you don't like it, or use it to it's full advantage. I used to hate my red hair as a kid...wouldn't trade it for anything now. | |

| You think YOU have it tough?? Try being a redheaded guy! Posted: 3/20/2006 5:26:47 AM | If someone is going to be that superficial, do you really need them anyway?
I know a couple of redheaded men and they are attractive men. "Attractive" is much more than the color of the hair.
BTW, the bald look works for you. ;)
