However, if I was seeing someone and they broke plans to play WoW, i'd question whether to stay with said person. | |

Posted: 5/24/2008 10:25:11 PM | You think its bad trying to deal with hardcore people who play mmorpgs? try dealing with people that are like that and find out you're developing a commercial one...gah... with players it always 'I want this feature' 'will I be able to ____' or 'when will it be done?!' its bloody annoying.... as for women, most of the ones that find out I run a company developing such a game its always one of three responses: 'the hell with you i'm gone!' 'you play those games?! I don't want someone who plays games all day' or 'I heard theres alot of money in that! lets date!' few women tend to be neutral with that kind of thing... not to mention the fact that I rarely play mmorpgs these days... just admin the damn servers cause I don't trust anyone else to (anyone remember GuardianKana or Daenks from the old Meridian59 community? nuff said)...gah...i'm ranting again aren't I?
Err... point is unless it turns into a real addiction I can't see dating someone thats into games being a problem. I'm sure others disagree, but it could be alot worse, like you said with the heroin thing. | |

The last serious relationship i was in, 6yrs long, the ex was great about it, mind you she knew not to bug me when gaming, but at Christmas etc, she'd always get me a game i've been looking at while we were out.
