You should have some fat before bed so that your body doesn't feed off of itself, and this should suffice in keeping you somewhat less hungry. I'd suggest a handful of nuts and a glass of milk. Even some cottage cheese or eggs would be good.

If your not full after eating one of them, drink some water.... if anything that should not only fill you up... but you should lose weight with a bedtime snack of fruit....an the vit C is good for you. Could be your snacks are too heavy a night... or the wrong kind.
Fruit tastes good too. I personally think pineapple is sweet as candy.

| I cant stop eating at night!!!! ARGGGGGHHHH Posted: 7/3/2007 5:59:22 PM | Are you going to bed at the same time....every night? Routine is pretty important (although not all that easy to do, I know) and idle hours with not much to do may make you think that you are actually hungery....when you could really, just be bored?
I know that for me, I make toast with peanut butter.....the process alone, instead of the grabbing the bag of convenient CHEETOS that I really want make me realize that if I am doing the toasting process (LOL....all of 2 minutes) will determine if I am truly hungry, or just bored. That's not a slag...by anymeans

| I cant stop eating at night!!!! ARGGGGGHHHH Posted: 7/6/2007 12:14:18 PM | | What are you talking about pure protein Milk consists of 12g of lactose sugar per serving which happens to be a low GI carb but still no good before bed time... best bet would either be a protein source such as chick/fish/beef before bed the fats from the beef would make that ideal also if your hitting the weights at night drink a shake from home in this paticular instance milk would be great for the sugar (you wont store it as fast after weight training) and you can make a shake with say 1 cup of milk 2 scoop natural PB and a scoop of casein protein(slow digesting) perfect PWO pre sleep ;) | |

| I cant stop eating at night!!!! ARGGGGGHHHH Posted: 7/11/2007 8:42:41 PM | | re milk --stonecrow you obviously haven't heard about lactose intolerance in people ? Not just adults, younger people also suffer from this so the milk substitutes are a good suggestion . so is the melantonin ---I use it myself though even that doesn't always help either and eating late at night is the worst thing to do if you want to lose weight as your body has to split it's functions of doing it's nightly housecleaning to now also trying to digest and break-down what you ate before going to bed . That's why there are a lot of over-weight problems in people showing up these days .It's not just what you eat or how much you exercize but also what you eat and when you eat it . The extra fats in the diet is a real good suggestion . | |
