| Can you party hard like a 20yr old when you are over 30?
Posted: 5/26/2007 10:02:59 PM | yes we can still have fun after the big 3-0 besides I like to use my partying powers for the betterment of society and to promote a sense of community and acceptance and someone has to teach the young ones to party like rockstars and who better than the 30 and overs like us obviously this can not be as often as it used to be but that doesnt mean we have to live like were ready for the nursing home. | |

Posted: 5/27/2007 7:55:58 AM | I personally think men look like they r going through a mid life crisis when they're still partying in their mid 30's. Its time for the younger generation to pick up where we 30 somethings left off. The old 80's dances just don't fit in with the new booty dances of today. Men of that age have a tendancy to hit on the youngest girls in the bar....which behind ur backs is causing lots of pointing and giggles. My suggestion, find a quaint neiborhood lounge of people ur age for socialization. There r many people my age (35) who r still wanting to have a great time, just had to find a more age appropriate way of doing that.........Hope ur not offended......and party on age responsibly.

It has nothing to do with not being able to but everything to do with other things being more important to you. Plus, its a big bonus waking up the next morning and remembering why there is a trail of clothes leading from the front door... | |

I'm going to hit 32 y.o in a couple of weeks - I like my rock and metal music and I still go to gigs and festivals. When I was 20, all the other punters seemed older than me. Now that I'm > 30, they all seem so much younger! It's like visiting munchkinland with all the liddle teeny-goffs, emo kids and wannabe's!

The few times I have gone to clubs and such places I went in my 20's, I felt like that woman that WE used to point out and say, 'if I'm in a club at her age kill me'. oy! Seriously, I can hang, I just don't want to, I have better ways to spend my time than in environments that for me are very low energy (low vibration) now, and I don't mean activity-wise. I mean on a 'Power vs. Force' level. Plus there are too many rerun episodes of Law and Order that I have yet to watch! | |

I used to be the same way in my 20's, party like there was no tomorrow. I do it every once in awhile but it takes me so long to recover now. Besides when I do go out to clubs or bars a lot of times I feel like I'm the oldest one in the place. | |

The older you get the less abuse your body can tolerate and bounce back from.
Me, I still like to party but I drink lots of water between drinks and I don't do it every week - that way I continue to look a lot younger than I am.
I know people who have never slowed down or moderated their partying habits since their 20s and they are pretty rough looking nowadays. | |

I guess in my early 20's I did a lot of stuff to help me stay up all night and not feel the effects of alcohol, now I no longer do that, the alcohol goes straight to the head (at times). | |

In my 30's (mid thirties to be exact) I have less stamina and less ability to stay up without a damn good reason to do so and not with work the next day. Usually this requires a nap to be worth a crap after about 10:30 unless the company takes my mind off it. | |

At 35, I enjoy socializing. Quite a few of my friends are married and it's just impossible to get married folks out sometimes. I decided to find myself a new social circle, and I've been meeting all sorts of great new people. I will never have so many friends I can't make room for more. | |

You have a few drinks then you feel like your in your twenties again. Have a few more drinks and everyone else looks like they are in their twenties again. Have a few more drinks then wake up next morning lying next to someone older than your mother. | |

If you want to go out and have a good time, then do. But maybe there is a difference now that I think about it. Because when I was 20, I drank until I puked and pretty much turned the night into a fiasco. These days, with maturity, I've learned to pace myself such that I just have fun, without the puking. | |
