Even the greasiest of guys would normally either leave her alone or call for help. And GHB isn't like ecstasy where you WANT to have sex! The feeling is pretty shitty and you are scared and anxious and paranoid and confused. Silly thing was I was out with a male friend (best Friend) it wasn't him as we took seperate taxis home, so there was no point in it being him. Only thing can think of, it was a girl who maybe was jealous of me being with him. Who had no reason to be as were just friends, but then she wasn't to know. I did phone the Bar and they looked at the CCTV but couldn't see anything. But not a nice exeperience. I hope you haven't been slipped one....... | |

My daughter's 21st birthday almost ended with a date rape drug. She was lucky she was with friends, and they noticed she was walking around like she was drugged. Posted: 7/20/2008 2:57:37 PM | I'm NOT making light of this subject AT ALL, but I really and truly didn't realize that people still used "date rape" drugs like this today. I remember hearing about them probably 10-15 years ago, but I just thought it was something that had kind of run it's course, and that you didn't hear about it anymore. I guess the media just doesn't make a big deal out of it anymore, so maybe that's why it's not in the spotlight.
I'm with the above poster - I don't see why any guy would do that to a woman. Not unless you just aren't right in the head. If you're that desperate for sex, pay for it. But, there are many, many twisted individuals out there. There are guys who rape kids, who literally have sex with animals - raping women should be no surprise. | |

What is up with getting heart racing, insomnia, dizzyness, euphoria almost (the kind that makes everything dandy and makes you want to clean house after dancing all night) ?
Every time I go out with friends and this one guy gets us drinks, all my girlfriends say they have the same symptoms. But it's not passing out, it's this unbelivable energy.
Drink tastes normal, everything is great, except none of us can sleep and has tons of energy.
We are at a club until 4 am, go to afterparty till 7, then I'm home cleaning, cooking, going for a run because I can't sit still. My girls the same. Sometimes we end up walking around and talking, then having brunch, then going home and still no sleep.
WTF??
I'm baffled. Anyone has any idea? | |

Posted: 7/30/2008 4:10:22 PM | I never accept an open drink from anyone. Since I usually drink beer when Im out, its very easy to watch the bartender pop the top. Or, if a guy buys me a drink, Im at the bar with him, watching. When I have a drink in hand, I have it cupped over the top.

My best friend lost her cousin due to her being slipped a date rape drug at a party, she had a very bad reaction and ended up dying. Both her parents were in Australia at the time and wouldn't you know it. It was then that 9/11 happened and they had the hardest time getting back into the country due to all the secuity measures that were being taken.
How sad is that........
A guy tried once to slip me something but he was dumb because my parents always taught me when I go out never leave my drinks unattended, if I go the bathroom order a fresh one when I come back.
In a bar I always buy beer never mixed drinks and my beer comes with me on the dance floor my thumb stays over the opening. If drinks are not allowed on the floor...I drink then dance, then order something fresh when I'm thru shaking my bon bon....
Hope that what happened to my best friend's cousin never happens to anyone
This stuff is no joke. I know 2 different GUYS who had their drink spiked at a bar and they weren't out with anyone. One guy woke up in his car, plowed into a lamp-post. Luckily no one was severly hurt.
Sometimes, people spike the wrong drink. Some just do it out of mischief, I guess, or maybe an experiment, who knows.
If you've only had a drink or two and start to feel woozy, you should tell as many people as possible as soon as you notice! | |

It sounds to me that you and your friends are being dosed with ecstacy. Ecstacy does come in a liquid form, and even the powder can easily be desolved into a liquid before the bar then added to a drink. A small dose of pure MDMA (the chemical in ecstacy), would not change the taste of a drink. If you are finding yourself grinding your teeth or chewing the s!&t out of a piece of gum, you were probably given meth or something cut with meth.
If this guy really is dosing you and your friends you should call him on it. I am not saying he is the same kind of scum bags that slip roofies, but what he is doing still is not cool. Right now he may be thinking that he is providing a good time, but he could change his choice of drugs to GHB or any of the other knockout drugs. Call him on it and tell him to stop, before he actually hurts someone. | |

Posted: 9/9/2008 9:16:08 PM | Don't know timeframe for sure, but seems like in under 10-20 minutes, the drink I was slowly sipping and had only got 1/4-1/2 down, symptoms began, and I think they rapidly accelerated from there (I lost track of all timeframe after that):
-Similar to feeling really drunk, happened really fast and wasn't consistent with how much I'd had to drink
-Something that doesn't happen when I've been drunk on other occasions - euphoric, sociable, smiling, benevolent feeling, super super relaxed (muscles really heavy, body and mind felt sedated, pacifyed, difficult to move my body - I sort of thought I could if I tryed, but I couldn't hold on to the thought long enough to move), confused and trying to think but having a lot of trouble with it
-Very disoriented, dizzy, sedated - to visualize the contents of my mind, it was black and empty, I had an occasional anxiety free-floating thought and the urge to escape, but it was like a bubble that quickly popped and disappeared before I could hold onto it long enough to focus on it to figure out what to do/know what it meant
-Very mentally disoriented and confused, almost a dream-like state
-Had jerking muscle spasm in arm, if I was slurring words I'm not sure, but I think I was talking really slowly when spoken to, and was very sedated and very lazy and relaxed feeling, almost felt like I wasn't in my body, dreamlike, surreal
-Nauseous and dizzy, got up and stumbled when walking
-Didn't resist and participated when sex initiated by the guy who I believe drugged me, I wasn't turned on until he was touching me, I believe drug had pro-sexual quality, I was extremely uninhibited and sedated, I think I remember what happened, if I had blackout periods I don't know
-Don't know if I passed out or fell asleep, don't know how long I was out for, don't know what happened when I was unconscious
-the next morning, felt weird and out of it, disoriented, strange all the next day, not hungover at all, I think I may have felt somewhat weird for a couple of days after | |

Posted: 9/10/2008 7:48:43 AM | rohyphnol from the pharmacy or a prescription, nowadays comes with a blue dye in it, to prevent it being used in this manner, seen people try it too when i used to be a bartender, whole line of drinks going bright blue, usually i'd tell the glassie to warn whoevers drinks they are, and then get him to dump em.
had to look after a few before too under the influence of these drugs, but luckily nothing happened to them. | |
