Posted: 6/30/2009 2:42:19 PM | I can say that I fall into this catagory (might exclude the handsome part) but I am 6'4 and around 290lbs. The women that I have dated do not like the teddy bear icon at all. They seem to be intimidated by my height and my size, although I have been able to hide the extra padding well over the years.
I think that MOST (not all women) around my age say that they like them just to avoid the topic, but under the circumstances they would rather have the skinner guy.
All in all, it boils down to the hot guy or nice guy; but apparently its far and inbetween to be classified as the hot nice guy | |

Not that I haven't dated them but I'm just not that attracted to them either. I'm not a small woman but I'm not fat either so I suppose that's why, I don't know. Something about a powerful looking man though. Not necessarily muscle bound. Trust me, muscles don't equate to strength all the time. | |

I have found the secret to being a BHM and being accepted and admired.
you see in my city growing up I was shunned and have had my share of challenges due to my weight. Getting through childhood was tough but getting through adolescence and now in adulthood it was tough until I learned that the way I feel about myself is what people see and are either drawn to or not.

I left my ex not because he looked like Mr. Burns naked but because he became a controlling abusive jerk. Like I said who you are is soooo much more important than what you look like. | |
