Posted: 3/23/2006 3:49:57 PM | | Dumbest thing I ever did was dance drunk on a snow covered picnic table. It's not the dancing that was so dumb, it was the jump down. Wasn't thinking(go figure, after many many tequila shots) and jumped off landing on my right foot which had a previously broken ankle. The ankle went one way, the knee went the other, tearing everything but the ACL....ended up on crutches for 2 months after that. Still haven't had the nerve to go get it scoped. | |

By the time I crawled out from underneath the door, I realized that the door was already unlocked and I had to pull, not push the door open. And the saddest thing is that I was not drunk or anything that night, I didn't have a drop of anything but water in me. You may think this is to stupid to be true, but if you know me, it's not so far fetched. | |

Ok the dumbest thing I have done is similar to the opening of my post. When I was in elementry I was cracking jokes and I am notorious for laughing at my own jokes and also making one of my gf's pee her pants. Soooo we were in the throes of a giggle fest on my bed (my laugh is very contageous and rediculous sounding too)and I took it too far by cracking one more joke, even tho I knew that sometimes she pi*sed herself. Weeeeeell one soaked bed later it wasn't so funny. My gf was mortified my Mom was annoyed and I was sleeping on the floor til we could get a new mattress. | |

Had this old car. Battery went dead. At a bar with a big parking lot. I was about 18. Along time ago batterys were not sealed things. Black tabs covered the holes the water went in that soon turned into battery acid. Ever wonder what kind of acid is in a battery? We didn't. So anyway we decided to "borrow a battery from another vehicle and let them have mine. After breaking a few batterys by trying to get the clamps off with finger nail files and rocks, (yes we were very drunk and stoned) we succeded in getting one. In the mean time of wiping the "so called watery stuff " off our hands from the cracked batterys onto our clothes we had to relieve ourselves a few times while still drinking. What happened to my fingers and hands with the acid was nothing compared to what happened to you know what!
FYI....battery acid does not work like most harmful acids. it takes hours (for flesh) and a day or more (for clothes) before you notice the effects of battery acid. For you guys, if you handle yourself to urinate with battery acid on your fingers, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT use cotton gauze to cover the large blister areas on said appendage after popping them. Scabbing material will solidify into the gauzy material. Do not think you can pull said gauze away from blistered areas when you think your healed. You will shriek or scream in pain. And the jeans and t-shirt that were splattered here and there with those watery drops, they became extremely holy in three days time. On clothes, battery acid seems to have an extended life period.   | |

I have done so many stupid things that I don't know where to begin. One that comes painfully to mind though was as a young teen, playing the ever politically incorrect Cowboys and Indians, I was the Indian, riding bareback. Well I got shot ( not really of course whew that part wasn't the stooopid part) so naturally I had to fall off my horse, DOH!!! **LOOK before you leap????** NOT at a full gallop and in shorts and a wee tank ( the equivalent of a loin cloth you see) into the full field of Thistles!! OMG it took my girlfriend four hours to pull out all of the thistles that she could see. The rest festered and made their way out over the next few weeks. The broken arm took a few more to heal!!
As for seriously dumb things,... well let's just say I have worked enough hours in the ER dept's to have concluded that no living thing is a as stupid as a human. ( IE:visions of Alaska there and WORSE!) | |

Dares were big things for me and my two older brothers when kids.
My grama had a really old dart board and the old wooden darts with bird feathers and 2 to 3 inch long steel points. My first oldest brother (who was always trying to get me into trouble) and I were playing, we were in grade school. He was bigger of course by four years. Any how we'd whip those darts so hard that to pull them out you had to hold the dart board with one hand. While I would be pulling mine out, he'd throw a dart missing my hand by inches.
He knew I wanted to throw a dart while he was pulling this one out. (I had faked thrown them previously. To scared to really do it. He'd beat me up!) The look in his eyes this one time dared me to throw a dart, complete with a devilish grin. I sure wiped that grin off his face! I let go of that dart with imperfect aim to hit that board by his hand and sank the dart right through the back of his hand, pinning it to the board! He hardly even shed a tear! He tugged but his hand wasn't moving. When a small trickle of blood started to flow down his hand he glared at me and I knew from that look he'd come short of nothing but killing me when he caught me! He yelled for gramma who was in the kitchen. She nearly fainted seeing his predicament. I took off like my feet were on fire. Didn't help. Dad set my butt on fire later. | |

I have to make a statement here that I am really a nice, easy going, non-trouble searching guy and great dad of two beautiful kids.
As a kid, I was a bit of a rebel and wild child. Maybe that is why I always had girlfriends. There was hardly a dull day if you stuck around me. Man, what a bore I must be now!
Your gun story has me remembering two of my own. I'll tell the tamer one. Now remember, this was my PAST!
Summer befor becoming sophmores. mid 70's. A bunch of buds and me get rollin' off some hash and weed. We were flying high. And drinking. So we got to thinking we needed to do some gopher hunting.
Guns (22's) and getting high, bad mixture. And if anyone ever tells you getting high doesn't help them to do some stupid things, either they just stared smoking or they are bald face lieing! 
So anyway we hit a couple of fields and nothing. So were parked on the side of this one hill and saw some chickadees half a football field away chirping on fence wire. Me and my best friend decide to go get 'em. Our friends laughed at us as we took off. We were shooting and laughing, missing every time all the way down there.
Suddenly we hear the sound of bullets hitting the grass around us. The rest of the gang at the car starts laughing a storm seeing us hit the ground for cover. We grined at each other, got into kneeling positions and peppered the side of the car several times. We laughed our butts off hearing them scream like girls being chased on a playground, knocking each other over in trying to hide on the car's other side. The guy driving the car shouted, begging us to stop. So we did.
So calling a truce we went back to the car with five or six holes in the side of it. Man did he get his butt whipped! literally! He had to fill the holes and repair them. and got grounded.
Some memorys I wish I didn't have. I think it a blessing that none us shot each other! Talk about going from dumb to stupid! Still, I have to laugh remembering those guys screaming the way they did. | |

Posted: 3/24/2006 1:21:19 AM | well iv done so many where do i start,but one that comes to mind ,when i was in my twenties i was driving truck for grey beverages, i parked my bottle truck at the old woodwards in new west forgetting to pull on the airbrake, i jumped out of the truck and went over to a guy who was driving a coke truck we started talking for a while,someone runs up to me and says whos driving the 7 up truck i said thats me, he says it has rolled down the parking lot and hit 7 cars only to come to a stop when a shopping buggy got caught under the back wheel,needless to say i no longer work for grey beverage  | |

Posted: 3/24/2006 10:45:41 AM | One time my g/f's and I were coming home from a very late, late night out...we decided to take a short cut/detour through a construction zone (roadwork).....my g/f was driving a wee bit fast and missed the corner...hit a sand pile...and flipped the car on it's side.....
After the laughing...and everyone was okay checks....we flipped the car back onto all four wheels....and off we went...laughing all the way!
Then there was one long summer in Lillooet (or was that band camp?)......far too many dumb things to mention! but wow....best summer of my life... | |

I say dumb stuff all the time which makes for good laughs but as for being drunk and the stuff i have done where do i begin. I thought it would be a good idea to crawl on top of a school bus , which by the way was right behind the cop shop, then fell off flat onto my back. Good thing i was drunk or else i would have prob really hurt myself. Another night i thought it would be a good idea to drive through a road block with all my friends and tell the cops exactly what i have had to drink. For some reason they thought i was joking HA HA. Another good one we were up a mountain in a buddies car and lost the bumper, so we had this huge rope and we tied the bumper to it and raced down the mountain. I'm sure u can picture the disaster that that caused. We wrecked the car even more and almost some other ones. | |
