Posted: 4/24/2006 10:38:10 AM | | I just went to a psychic medium in the Beaches yesterday. I went in with an open mind and a grain of salt. She freaked me out. The minute I walked in the room she said "you have a sister and a dad who passed over don't you?" She then went on to tell me things she couldn't have possibly guessed at. I kept fairly non committal but it didn't matter.. she was picking up stuff.. I'm still trying to sort it all out. | |

I was always a bit skeptical, but she made me a believer. Like I said, she didnt have any info about me, I gave none. I just kept saying yes, ok, uh huh. Only thing she knew was my first name. Pretty reasonably priced too. 60 bucks for a palm reading, card reading and crystal ball. | |

Posted: 4/30/2006 3:31:26 PM | A few years ago I had an amazing reading done. This man brought things up that NO ONE but me knew about at the time. He answered some questions for me that I desperately needed answers to. He gave me a heads up about some problems that i'd be having in the future and he was dead on. He caused me to smile and also brought tears to my eyes.
I have ever since been trying to find this guy again, once again a few years later I have so many questions that I need answers to.
I have been to a couple other so called psychics who were trash and I definitly wasted my money on them. Left me very disapointed.
Before I was born my mom was told about a lady in our neck of the woods who was very good. My mom walked into her house and immediately was refered by her childhood nickname. This woman told my mother she saw two lil'girls in her future and a happy marriage. Plus plenty more that left my mom and her friend amazed to this day. My mom wrote everything down that this woman told her and so far this lady has been correct. She has passed away now, but since I was told that story i've been a firm believer that there are real psychics out there. A lot of fakes aswell, I guess it's a chance you just have to take when you visit one that they are for real. | |

Posted: 4/30/2006 3:47:40 PM | I think I was 19 and went with my sister-in-laws only because they asked me. I’m not into that sort of thing and find it so general, everything they say typically applies to 80 % of the population.
The session was taped and ever so often I listen to it and a few things were accurate. She said I was going to Mexico; I thought….no way, I’ve been and don’t go to the same place twice (the world is too big to see the same thing twice)…yep, I went….twice after that.
She specifically said I would move to Vancouver; “what the hell” there was nothing there for me, job or family…….yep, I ended up living there for 9 years!
I think I might pull that damn thing out again….see what else has happened that she said was going to! | |

Too be honest though it is always very vague, and not much that I didn't know already. Somethings did actually happen, but not in the way she described. I keep an open mind because she is a friend.....but if she wasn't I don't think I would ever go see another one. | |

Posted: 6/2/2006 8:10:11 AM | My mom took me for a reading for fun when I turned 16 to a lady here in London and she told of a relationship full of abuse and sorrow and many years of fighting for freedom and self-esteem. I figured at the time she was a friend of my mom's and just trying to scare me out of the relationship I was having (my mom hated this guy on sight and made it clear - even buying supplies and rallying family members to picket the wedding I eventually called off - she and the psychic were right though).
Then, a few years ago I was approached by one at a Burger King who congratulated me on my pregnancy (I was nearly 5 months along - not showing and didn't know because of other medical reasons) and told me to see a doctor immediately. She then said "she's going to be a beautiful baby".. which again was bang on (I'm biased on her looks but she was right about the sex). She also said something about not to worrying so much about my son as he has a good heart and loving "guides" and that it would work out in time. Was the weirdest and most jolting experience of my life (hairs on my arm still raise just thinking about it). This lady gave me her card, but never asked for cash or any kind of thanks... her only remark before leaving was "blessings and be kind to yourself". I was floored when I saw she is actually a psychic who takes appointments (until that point I didn't realize - I thought she was some whackjob who either mistook me for someone else or was handicapped or a chatty lonely senior or something).
After that I went to a psychic fair with a friend and the psychic there was dead wrong about everything in my friend's life and her future for the next few months. I decided to opt out of my own reading with her as I couldn't see spending the money when she got every detail wrong for my firend (basic details like she was involved with someone with the initial "J or M" - her hubby's name was Dave, she had 2 children in her life - she has 1 and he had 2 from a previous marriage etc.)
I've also had friends do tarot readings for me and they've always proven to be too vague to be accurate or dead wrong. My mom recently bought me some tarot cards and a guidebook, but I've yet to experiment with them.
I think of it as something fun - to be taken with a grain of salt and meant to give food for thought. Not taken literally or to guide your life by. Some psychics are well trained in how to find enough common details to peak interest to extract people's maximum cash flow, and others seem to just genuinely KNOW.

Posted: 6/3/2006 1:44:44 AM | I went to see Norah (who lives in North Bay) several years ago. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was always curious. I made an appointment with her husband, and stopped by and paid the fee (at that time it was $55, I think. $50 for the reading, and $5 for a cassette tape).
The cassette tape was to record the half hour session. Norah stepped out, introduced herself (very nice, and polite lady), we shook hands and went into her office. The first thing she did was start recording on the tape, and then played it back to make sure it was properly recording. At the point in time, she only knew my name.
The very next second she started in on a whirlwind speech all about me (mostly personality). She was talking very quickly, and didn't ask that many questions. She described my parents to a tee, and predicted a several things to come. Some of which became true, others still have the potential to come true. She didn't exactly give specific dates when she predicted something. Every once in awhile she would ask a question, I'd answer, but try not to give away too much information. She was really quite good.
At the end of it all, she gave me the opportunity to ask a couple of questions. So I asked about a couple of friends of mine, that I was worried about. By giving her just their first names, she was able to get a good reading (although somewhat brief) about them as well.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience. I'd recommend anybody and everybody to see her if you get a chance. I know that she stops off in Toronto every once in awhile as well. I've included her website below for those interested.

Posted: 6/5/2006 10:33:54 PM | I've been to a few in my time, more out of curiosity. One who was dead on for petes sake on everything, and i mean everything is in oakville, ontario. She did my reading in her basement, she is what they call a hand reader.
She talked about my grandfather passing when i was 11, my best friend who died 3 years ago, my past, my present, my future, christ she told me the good the bad and the ugly.
Everything she told me happened, right when she said it would! Kinda creepy, but i'm going back, want to see what she sees now, everything else was right, and she gave me a 6 month forcast, that was so true!

She knew about the dog I had when I was just a little kid, when my Grandmother died, past living situations and also gave me a partial name of a woman that would be coming into my life who is actually my half sister who she described perfectly but who I have only seen in a few pictures and have never physically seen her before in my life but I didn't even remember her until the next day, also didn't remember the white car that she asked if i owned which I sold a few months ago because the motor was shot which she also said there was something wrong with it. I have her business email for anyone interested, she also told me some future terrifying news which I wished I didn't ask for and I could honestly see it happening. | |
