Posted: 5/30/2011 5:35:31 AM | As with ANY field, be it medical, legal, mechanical - whatever field - you will find those who are honest and reputable. You will also find those who are charlatans. One bad apple and all that stuff.
I have known many gifted psychics over the years. I have also known those who purport to be but are not. First clue - if the psychic has to ask you for an over-abundance of information, you're going to get back what you fed them. When they start talking to you without that prompting, generally, you have a gifted one who is going to give you good information.
Readings are not about predicting the future, per se, but giving you the tools to make or even change what could happen within the realm of possibilities.

Posted: 6/19/2011 2:49:56 PM | I'm sorry but I don't agree with scintillating angel and the rest of those that believe in psychics because I really don't believe in psychics, the paranormal or parapsychology, scientists have been trying for over a hundred years to prove the existence of these things and haven't found any as of yet! I had a woman, forty years ago, who claimed to be psychic and had many clients, do a tarot card/psychic reading for me, for the fun of it and she predicted by October of that year, I would be engaged to be married and that by Christmas of that year, I would be married. Meanwhile, forty years later, I'm still single and I've never been even engaged to anyone! So, you can understand why, I don't believe in it and why, in my own opinion, I say, that people who claim to be psychic are people who are too lazy to go out and get a proper job!
If you can name a psychic who can predict the future accurately and has proof to back it up with, I might go for the fun of it but believe in it, no! If what the psychic said came true about me, I would say it was coincidence, nothing more! Prove me wrong! | |

All psychics are charlatans... sorry, but there has bever been any proof...
There are NO pyschics who have ever won a lottery...
They may get a few things right here and there, but remember, 50% accuracy is still only the equivalent of random chance... | |

Before I pay a "psychic", any amount of money for tarot card, rune, psychic reading, etc., I would want proof that such things exist and I would want to test the accuracy of the "psychic", I would go to. But then again, if anything a "psychic" says, should come true, I would chalk it up to coincidence and nothing more, after all it has never been proven by science or any other means. Such things should be treated as nothing more then entertainment and never believed in as the truth, anyway! It's like that circus owner way back when, P.T. Barnum used to say, "There's a sucker born every minute!", and he wasn't joking! Just look at the money, those "psychics", pull in and they don't even have to work for it!  | |

I'm beginning to wonder why other people believe in such things, when it has never been proven that such things exist?
A lot of 'psychics' employ a variation of this old trick... It's all aboyut getting the sucker I mean the customer to give up more information than they think they are...
1... Have the audience/friend that you want to trick opposite of you. Works best if sitting at a table. Take a piece of paper and rip it into 6 small pieces. (Try to make them all the same size.) Before you even start this trick, think of 2 colors, lets say black and white. [This whole trick is showing them that you know what they are going to say.] So in this trick you are going to ask them 3 questions in total. The color question being the last one.
2... Place 3 of the pieces of paper up closer to the friend but still close to you, and the last 3 in front of you.
3... Ask the friend to think of a boys name. While they think of a name, look at them as if you know what they are thinking... even though you probably have no idea. While they are thinking, write down the color that you think that they are going to say when you ask them last. (Write it on the first paper, the ones closer to you. Then crumple the paper and leave it at the side. (50/50 chance you will get the answer right.) The reason why you are doing the color question now is leading to the next step....
4... When they are done thinking of the boys name. They think that you already wrote it down on the crumpled paper. So then ask them what the name was. Lets say it was "Billy". Write the name "Billy" on the first paper that is closer to the friend.
5... Now ask the friend to think of a girls name. While they are thinking, do the same thing by looking at them like you know what they are thinking. Then on the next piece of paper closest to you, write down the boys name that they told you. In this case "Billy". Then crumple it up and put it with the other one. Now you only have 1 piece of paper left that is closer to you.
6... When they are done thinking of the girls name, ask them what it was. Lets say "Michelle". Write down "Michelle" on the second piece of paper closest to them ( so the middle paper). Keep in mind, the papers closest to the friend should not be crumbled after. Just leave them alone, so that you both can clearly see the written names. OK??? GOOD ;)
7... NOW...the final question..the color question! Since you have already thought of the color you should already know what to say. So Ask them "Pick a color in your head, either black or white." (or what ever color that you have picked.) Now you have already written down the color that you think that they were going to say at the beginning remember? So all you have to do right now is pretend you know what they are going to say, and write down the girl name that they have said previously. (which was "michelle".) Then crumple it and leave it with the others.
8... When they are done thinking of the color, ask them what color it was. Now hopefully they will say the color that you predicted that they were going to say... but it doesn't always work out that way.. but what ever. And once they say it, write it down on the 3rd piece of paper closest to the friend. So all 3 pieces should be filled now. DONE. Now the fun part :)
9... Leave the pieces of clearly written names where they were. (its used as evidence that you got the name and color right.) One by one, uncrumple a paper and leave it beside the visible paper in front. Watch the friends reaction. I LOVE IT!

There are no good psychics...
Not a single one has ever been proven to be psychic... It's all a matter of luck and cold reading people... even if you toss a coin, you can predict the outcome approx 50% of the time averaged out... | |

Also, I'm not going to google to find out her name and website, that's a great waste of time, she'd have to show me solid concrete proof of what she is supposed to be able to do, she can no more predict a person's future, then I can and I know I can't! Nobody can predict your future except God and He'll only revel it when it is the correct time to do so! | |

I normally am a bit of skeptic, but someone gave a psychic a rave review and the person seemed reasonable so I decided I would give it a try. So the the psychic gave me a pen and paper to write down what she said. I saw her about 8 months ago. She mentioned a few things that were very specific that did surprise me and she got a one or 2 things bang on. Like naming a rare disease that a relative had and stuff of that nature. She did have a few vague bits of info as well, eg. that I want to work for myself or that I am a natural leader.
she had some bigger predictions that should come true within a few more months, so we will see what happens. I am not going to base my life on her predictions though.
A word of caution about psychics, a long time ago an aunt of mine was told by a psychic that she wouldn't live past 29, she feel into a depression and died at age 60-someting. As well, a friend was told by the psychic that the man she was with was not the right man and she will end up with someone with the first initial starting with a certain letter. The girl dumped the otherwise great boyfriend and obv. wants to find the guy the psychic told her about.
I don't think you should let the psychic influence self-fufilling things. If she says you will quit your job, you might think to yourself, "Well the psychic told me I would." or if the psychic says you will move to a different city, you might suddenly decide that you want to live where she told you that you would. | |
