1. "My family and friends are the most important thing to me". DUH!!!!! Did that need saying? I should put that my computer means more to me than anything?
2. "My kid comes before my b/f". Again that is soooooo annoying!!!!
3. "First date: mini golf" okay I got nothin for that one but for some reason it bothers me!!
4. Spelling mistakes don't bother me but when you think cutie is spelled "cuttie" I really don't want to talk to you lol.
Okay i'll come back to this one when I think of some more. There is lots of pet peaves. | |

Tridium....I feel the need to explain...I put that my kids come first on my profile...because believe it or not...some men expect you to make them your everything when you meet and they just don't comprehend that my children will always be my everything...within reason of course they are still small....when they are big enough to take care of themselves...say maybe 40 or so....I'll let them venture out....ummmmm.....maybe....lol. | |

People who put "read my profile" - then delete your well written, and carefully thought out email without even looking at it. and it seems more likely to be deleted if you're a perfect match.
Something else I've noticed, the people who's profile say not interested in intimate incounters, erotic chat etc. are usually the one's doing it.
People who are "taken" and on here just to meet friends. (join a club, try a sport, this is a singles site)
People who have forgotten why they came here to begin with. (to meet someone)
People who respond to your 2 page email with a one line answer. (if you respond with a question it keeps the conversation open)
so in conclusion -
Don't bother writting an intelligent email to 1 person you've found interesting create a quick form letter and broadcast it to everyone because they're either lying about what they want, or as I suspect don't have a clue.
PS. I'll read your profile when you read my email!

Posted: 12/29/2006 7:13:40 AM | Only having been a member on this site for roughly two months and not logging in on a daily basis, along comes xmas break and I have way too much time on my hands, so spent more time on here than normal. During the last few days, the amount of emails, ims I've received has gone up I'd say at least a good 50%. Now to get to your question lol. With the increase in contact I've noticed that there are tons of men out there that use the term "Long-term" too freely. Maybe its just me, but doesn't Long term mean that you are NOT looking for a one nighter? or not looking to just hook up for coffee and sex? Or have I been missing something here? "shrugs" If you are looking for just friends, intimate encounters, screw buddies, then why waste time in claiming you're looking for something more? I just don't get it......therefore, I guess the major pet peeve I have with profiles, is the fact that people aren't always honest about what they truly are looking for.
Second pet peeve which is no major deal, is how quick people are to include pics of their kids in their profiles, profiles on a dating site. I know this is a personal choice, and don't get me wrong, I love kids, have a few of my own, but I don't think their pics should be posted for the whole world to see........there's way too many freaks out there. I actually came here for the forums.....not to meet someone......I figured if it happened, great, but not my reason for being here. I went to a patio night in Hamilton hoping to meet some new friends (had just moved back to the area recently)....did not expect to hook up with someone (in fact I did....and am very happy I decided to go to the patio night!)

Yes the world is ful of freaks better not let your kids go to school anymore,or to the store/library field trip hockey games ...................I think you get the picture.
And the one that said its a dating site only......if it were they wouldnt have the other options,such as friends etc etc.Its a social club of sorts and it were strictly dating yeah a lot of us Im sure wouldnt be here but its much more than that. | |

Women recieve anywhere from 5-500 emails the first day with or without a picture. (usually from 20-25yo men)
Guys how many unsolicited emails have you recieved from women since you started? 1-2
This boosts the womens ego and allows her to be very selective (if I had five hundred women to choose from I'd take my time.)
But it's a double edge sword. In the real world they're not nearly as appealing as the attention would have them believe, these emails (usually from Liars, cheaters, and players) slow down the dating process. (this explains alot of dates with few relationships resulting)

2. Guy profiles. I'm not here to meet guys. Go to a guy web site.
3. Not enough toe. Just because we don't live in the middle east doesn't mean camel toes don't belong here. No moose knuckle please, unless you're actually riding a moose naked.
4. Too many want "long-term." I've only seen one profile that selected "short-term." A term of any kind sounds to long. Don't judges sentence you to a term?
5. Age restrictions. If my granny/barely legal 3some fetish can't be satisfied here, where is someone to turn?
6. Where the hell is body type "mangled" or "missing parts?"
7. First date ideas that don't involve alcohol. How can I find out if you're easy if I can't get you drunk? Liquid charm works well.
8. Not enough bikini/car hood pictures. I see those kinds of things every day on the street, why not here?
9. Useless lists. Unless it involves sexual positions you're willing to try or have tried, get rid of your lists.
10. Interests. See #9.
Overall, singles seem like singles want love. WTF is that all about?
That's only the first 10 I thought of. I got lots more.
