@ fxst ..... you are employed..... are you kidding me??? Well I think we should all (men and women - bikers) just quit our jobs (there goes the bike upgrades my commission cheques pay for), stop showering (there goes the potential partner) and talk like a complete uneducated idiot (there goes any potential for future employment) and just be "real" bikers - like the judgmental, uneducated idiots who probably need to get off of the computer and shower - think we all are.

Man oh man I always seem to forget that we share our world with these people.

Oh yeah and "hello" right back at you!!!

To all of those who actually work, shower, speak with more than one syllable and ride. "What is wrong with you people it's time to step up and become "real" bikers"....*ok so that is sarcasm for the rest of you.

Well we finally went and did it. With me on the road to being a new driver, we went out last evening and got my open face helmet. While we were there, we picked up two half helmets for vacation because the states that we are driving thru have helmet laws.

Now all I have to do is to figure out how to fold or roll my raingear so it fits in a one gallon freezer bag so I can take it as well.

Here is a thread for everyone to put their two cents in on.

It is in the forums under current events and has something about helmets in the title,

Loved the biker poems, Echoez. Keep 'em coming.

Been riding since 1977, and riding here in Ohio has been awesome for me. I started riding in Texas --- miles and miles of nothing, but miles and miles of nothing.

Nice to see a thread for us biker "trash".

Hi everyone..I just wanted to say my late B/F was a hard core Biker he road hard and played hard when he would ride and losted his last H/D right before we got together..But He was the most trusting and honest and told it like it was guy i had ever meet..He was not into lying or head games and was nothing but himself 100% real nothing more or less and lived each day to the fullest and loved like there was no tomorrow..Why is it THAT most of the true H/D Riders are the most honest guys i know and can tell it like it is and are not someone there not?? LOL @ Antagonist........the nic sez it all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look Skippy, I've owned a HD since 1979........before it was ' cool" to ride a Harley. Let's just start by saying your not going to rent space in my head for free. I retired after working 20 yrs in Corrections/Criminal Justice......and yes I ride with all sorts of bikers......Sober ones, Drunk ones (but short trips) Judges, Attys., Doctors......Christian Bikers......matter of fact here in Columbus a local Church had over 5000 people attend their Biker Sunday in July. I was one of them.

Sure I have Tatts, I wear leather, and have a few piercings (not PG rated sooooo) but I also have my Masters in Counseling, own my own home, Harley Truck and take care of my daughter. Hmmmmmmmmm, not really the unwashed stinky biker trash you spoke of.......

Harley owners today have a medium income of 60K and Columbus Ohio is home to the Oldest HD dealer A.D.Farrow and has MORE registered motorcycles per capita than anywhere.......put that in your Ohio vs. Texas Biker Trash pipe and smoke it.

On a final note........After retiring.......I took a job as the Sales Manager at BigDog Motorcycles.........come see what the Ohio Biker's ride sometime........

i'm not a biker but i sure as hell love riding on the back of one. up here in schuylkill county we have some beautiful country roads to ride on. a friend of mine and i from in here as well as biker kiss went out driving around in his pick up truck since the weather wasn't good for riding in he enjoyed driving the roads. he told me that he's going to have to come up here on his bike to ride and just enjoy the sights.

there's nothing like the feeling of being so free...the wind at your face, the sun on your hair, and just actually having the opportunity to see everything around you. the high of riding whether it be alone or with someone is just as the eagle flies. the freedom as the eagle soars gracefully in the wind with having the world at the tip of his wings.

ride on y'all...........

We are currently sidelined due to his having a medical issue. But that will be taken care of on Monday. It might be 4 to 6 weeks before he can get on the bike again but know that we are back on the bike and back on the road as soon as possible.

silver - once your partner's medical issue is attended to, ride freely when he's able to do so. let him know that the open roads will await his recovery. besides, he'll be back on the bike in no time and when the weather is more suitable for all riders.........

tell him........rest easy~ride freely with all good times to come.

oh no ponygrl, he will be back on that bike as soon as the doctor says it's okay for him to be. The temperature outside has to fall below 20 degrees or it has to ice really bad for him to stay off the bike. He generally rides if one or both of conditions aren't present. The biggie for him is the ice one.

He has a cold weather suit and electric gloves and all that. I have one closet that is devoted to nothing other than his gear. He was going to try to ride a little yesterday but just didn't feel up to it. He might decide to do so today depending on what the weather brings later this morning.

The hardest part is keeping him off the bike once he gets to feeling better.

This one has long hair and works for national bank. Thats a far cry from an dump truck driver. Besides I know a few dump truck drivers and they wear clean clothes and shower everyday.

Thanks for sticking up for the truck drivers that ride('') and shower

The diversity is wonderful. If I buy the right bike I can be all things to all people, so I'll buy what I want, ride with those I choose to, express my O-pinion as I please and thank the Lord that in America AKA our USA, who gives a rat's petutie about what dummy -buts think!

Just because I ride a Harley, doesn't mean I am gnarley.

Just because you have Tang in your cupboard, doesn't mean you are an astrounaut.

Bein le' cool isn't about what ya got,

And as ya see a poet I'm not.

Leggy I wish they had saved a couple of friends of mine back late last summer. I am from down in Zanesville and last year was a record year for the death of bikers in accidents where the driver of the car was either drinking or taking prescription drugs or a combination of both. 4 people died and I just can't understand why.

I get the part about not seeing the bike but the not hearing it? That I don't understand.
