| Northern Soul Posted: 6/3/2008 6:19:08 AM | What is the title of a northern song that has a refrain of a woman (or two women singing) "Push Push".?
I heard it years ago at a scooter rally, but I never knew the title.

| Northern Soul Posted: 7/4/2008 6:27:56 AM | I was lucky enough to go to Wigan Casino between 78 and 81 and was one of those genuine people to be there on the last night in Sept 81. I was living in Lytham St Annes at the time and used to get there about 12.15 to fight our way in. Up the steps and into the best disco in the world. We used to base ourselves in the balcony to the right of the stage and go into Mr.M's now and again. My 2 favourite records; Do I Love You - Frank Wilson Bok To Bach - Fathers Angels Check em out and see what you think Keep The faith | |

I was also DJing in the 70's when northern soul was at its peak, had some great nights.
We had four disco setups and one just played soul and nothern soul.

| Northern Soul Posted: 10/19/2009 8:40:15 AM | | Was looking at that one but just realised its on a normal do fri night, mini nighter sat and only a few hours on sunday.... I've just been spoilt with prestatyn last week with 3 nighters and 3 dayers...lol. Blackpool was proving expensive so gonna do Skeg weekender the week before instead....its a new venue so not sure what it will be like but its only up the road so worth a look. ktf x | |

| Northern Soul Posted: 10/19/2009 8:42:18 AM | | Yeh but the downside is when you're a soulie looking for a soulie and everyone is only there for the music...haha but yeh you're definately right about music and the scene.... brilliant! x | |

There really are a lot of great sounds within Northern Soul.

| Northern Soul Posted: 10/19/2009 9:33:47 PM | | Hi my sister was mad on northern soul..she used to play all the records, when she was getting ready with her full circle skirt and granny shoes,in her wigan casino bag complete with all the badges and talc for spreading on the floor...she used to do the sheffield all niter ,then go to cleethorps for the all dayer ...i remember her knackered and buzzing when she came home...her fav record was long after the night is all over...she said she loved it when the last 5 records were played...she still loves northern soul and she passed her love of the music on to me...i love it too | |
