| Why do people think 80s hair is still cool?
Posted: 4/5/2006 7:12:50 AM | I ussually have only two or three no no's when it comes to hairstyles, the mullet, the afro (for causaian male) and that comb over. If we can avoid those three then all styles are IN.!
However I have seen styles in the 80's that I feel a mullet would look more dignifiable than some of those other ones. | |

Of course if I changed my hair and cut it short I know I would still look great but again..the majority of my email addresses my great hair so naturally I am keeping it..and my Dr. Suess hat. I think the look that disturbs me is the the one where women are bent over so their boobs hang out..what's that about? | |

so what if a woman what the 80's hair.. or the spandex at 300lbs.. its her perogative and if she likes it and it makes her feel comfortable then more power to her..
although I don't wear the 80's hair.. hell I barely have any hair left on my head.. I've lived all my life with the "let me tell you what your doing wrong" mentality..
let it go..to all those chicks with 80's hair you go gals.. remember the bellbottoms made a comeback too

Every time I see one, I can't help thinking that if they were to untie the cord or whatever holding the pony tail in place, their hair would spring back into its natural place on the top of their head :D

Most woman in their 40's think they need to have shorter hair , my preferance in a womans hairstyle is the 80's look if you want to call it that, i call it SEXY!!

I don't have 80's hair, it is cheaper to just let it grow. Farrah was the 70's...

long and flowing is something very different and often looks quite nice if the hair is clean and brushed...etc... basic hygeine. It's not about cutting the hair short it's just about de-frizzing it.
Lots of people have complained about the question but no one has any answers!
Frizzy, nasty, rats nest poofy bang hair does not suit ANYONE. | |

After reading the 4 pages of comments posted here? I have just had the best laugh I have had in months! Cheeks are sore, belly aches, tears rollin down laughing.
I do however turn my head and giggle when I see something I personally find funny about someone's appearence...although, not so loud they can hear me...(I hope). But they also have the option to do the same to me if they so choose.

Styles and trends are a merry go roundEverything comes back in again.
Skinny pants from the 80's and leggings are all the rage in Hollywood now.
Leggings is a trend I never engaged in nor will I ever.
But,yes I love almost everything 80's.Especially the corny hair bands. I know i'm odd.

No it's mostly to get the 50 year old housewives with frizzy poofy hair all worked up. Then I show the thread to my friends and we have a good laugh about everyone getting so upset and thinking it's actually a serious question.
And who doesn't want attention for their profile?

We are such creatures of habit and when we get positive reinforcement it can take a crowbar to get us to change. My friend had an old hairstyle and didn't want to change it because people used to compliment her on it. The operative phrase here is "used to". The hardest part is finding a hairstylist you trust who can keep you up to date and is willing to try new things. I know I wouldn't give my guy up without a fight. | |
