Weather they are or not Prostitutes or wives at the end they all empty your bank book.Look at what's the beatle dudes name McCarthy 4 years of sex 400 million settlement and she has one leg.Could you imagine all those $5. Prostitutes not even the high class ones at $500 how many different ones could he have gotten ?Whats the difference ?. Since its a judgement there is no tax to pay.
For the drug part well the ones that do fall into the category of junkies. The ones that do it because they selected that job without taking drugs well those are prostitutes, they enjoy it even if you are 500 lbs and ugly.
Men exploiting the woman? My defintion of a pimp is a person hired by the prostitute for security and money management,also to find new clients paid in commission. Client is a person who needs a service that a prostitute offers paid in cash.Without the product there is no employee nor clients.The only one exploiting the woman is herself being in the business that she is in. She could go to a 7am to 4 pm job anytime she wants doing anything but that. | |

Yah at minimum wage. Some women choose to work for higher pay and sex to some women isn't some dirty nasty thing like in the U.S. culture.
Because of the unique legal situation, in the U.S. you have zillions of scams, ripoffs, pimps and a terrible situation with wild variations in pricing.
Where its legal such as Canada, most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand and most other places there is a lot less scams and people taking advantage of professional sexworkers (not street hookers which have problems worldwide since usually related to drugs etc).
For example pricing in Canada is maybe 90% within reasonable ranges. In large cities such as Toronto and Vancouver typically $200/$250CDN/hr. Gal comes to your hotel or home and you enjoy a full hour of safe sex and enjoyable intimacy.
In smaller cities such as Victoria, B.C, Hamilton and Niagara Falls its typically $160-180-200/hr pricing. Beatuiful women either indedendents or maybe 75% in the cities mentioned via agencies who take about 40% of the fee, have websites with the gals schedules and pictures, screen clients, book appoitments and provide a driver to pick up the gal usually at her home, bring her to the clients hotel/home and then pick her up. The gal calls when she gets in the room to the agency to confirm all is well and about 5 minutes before the hour is up, the agency or driver calls the gal as a 5 minute warning on cell phone.
It really works very nicely and lots of women perfer this type of arrangement at far more pay and flexibility with their time than a normal low paying time clock type job. | |

Some because they've been sexually assulted as a young girl and see being used as a show

There's all different reasons that people become prostitutes. I knew a guy that used to be "Gay for pay" they call it. He had a big drug habit. So, he sold himself.
Now, that's different too as it's not a female doing the sex act for money, so yes not all are the same. | |

i've been to places where prostitution is legal and've met and been friends with a lot of women who made ends as prostitutes none of these women were anymore different than the next woman.oh and the drugs?well i know alot of people who've done the same sh*t...worse even and they weren't prostitutes. to be honest here in los united stays where it's illegal and unregulated the situation is problematic to the nth degree!in my humble it's the johns who are the frickin' problem how would you like to have to service some coked out freak who's probably more intersted in taking some prostitutes money .i say legalize it!prostitution provides a nescessary service that i think a place like america rilly rilly neeeeeds. | |

True and false. There are plenty of women who were raised in great homes, with money, who still love to have sex for money, strip, sell their time for money. Sometimes the money IS THAT GOOD. I know of a few prostitutes and strippers who sell their goods to get through school, to get themselves discovered, or because they don't want to work a 9-to-5. Just like there are some men and women who date sugar mommas and daddies just for the money. A friend of mine from Malta has several of those. So, this thought that people in the sex trade had a bad upbringing is false. To think that these people do it because something bad has happened in their life, is false. To think they most of them are drug users is false. The truth of the matter is that the media does not tell the truth. We all slant information to our side to support our thoughts and feelings and to make our point. But what ever each person's story is, there is one simple truth, we all do what we do in order to survive and to have a relatively happy, fulfilled life.
One thing I hate and really get sick of is people complaining how we are exploiting women and not talking about women who are willing to exploit themselves. Don't get me wrong, I know some women and men are forced into the business under false pretenses and forced to stay in the business because of fear, addiction, or simple fact that they don't know what to do or how to get out. But the majority know exactly what they were doing from the jump street and still decided to go with it and stay in it. So, to say men are exploiting women is just as rediculous as saying women are gold diggers. And you know what (there are a few women who are running porn businesses themselves, there is even an internet mom and daughter team who pick up men of the street and women of the street and have sex with them). So, sexploitation, is not just a man's thing anymore, and never was. | |

Gee, when I was a kid, my dad told me to find something I liked to do and then find a way to get paid for it. Isn't that what 'working girls' are doing? So, what's the difference between me working in an emergency room, and them working in a hotel room? And, they get to be off their feet more than I do. Another plus. Not to mention, for unskilled labor (although it really IS a skill I guess) a women with no education beyond high school has very few other options to make a decent living. Minimum wage doesn't cut it in america, unless you like living in the back of an old car. | |

well guys a few points on the topic from me plz
there is drugs, prostitution etc coz there is a demand for it. easy money for some, its an individual choice however on the moral issues and dilemmas etc....
living in Oz after having experienced the third world... its not poverty that drives ppl to beg or indulge in sex work or drug trade (as a user or as a pusher) in the developed world. coz that aint poverty if every household owns a car and has a roof on top, (to the someone who decides they not gonna earn it, well they dont count). the definition of poverty to me is when a human being puts in his 8 hours of labour and is barely able to buy edible bread for himself... there are ppl who wont be corrupted (individual choice) in those circumstances, while there is the other lot.
an average ozzy makes a minimum 15 bucks per hour, enough to build a life on if one is really keen. yet we have ppl on dole, junkies & hookers on the street! having said that, there will be general exception to the rule and i love oz as much as any other fella ozzy. some 'gals' dont have any moral issues with the work they do.. and thats cool too. quoting this 'gal', who owns a cleaning business too, kids, house and investments. so thats plain work to her. freedom of choice, fair enough.
secondly abuse or disturnbed childhood etc....
i was abused when i was a kid; had a disturbed childhood, living within violent parameters having no way out, etc. however, i dont live the trauma every single minute. on an average am reminded of that once a month. i must it is traumatic, and was sickening and depressing earlier on. had this guilt burden on me being a kid for no fault of mine and grew in it to one day when i grew out of it. however one has to move on and salvage a life out of that stigma and add value to self rather than otherwise. ppl get cornered and bounce back... or there are the ones who get cowed down. its being a defeatist to live that for the rest of one's life, i guess!
