I think both sides of this flame war have a point. Cheap sex for recreation-- where you do favors only to get what you want in return-- does not cut it. If that's all you ever have, sex is overrated. If you've been seriously in love and enjoyed sex as an expression of that love-- where you touch and caress b/c you truly enjoy it and you never expect anything in return-- there is no rating high enough to make sex overrated. For me, the goal is to separate the two, and then go after only the second one.

Yes, it would bother me. I think it's more than just sex. The act is bringing two people a close as physically possible and there has to be an attachment on a higher level than that. I would be very upset if I were to never have sex again.
