NO BUT I CAN ADMIRE YOU WANTING TO COVER AN ICON'S A$$ AND JUST CHOoSE NOT TO BELIEVE.. First, there's no need to yell at me. Second, please do not attempt to tell me what I believe or disbelieve. Third, I'm not wanting, or trying, to cover anyone's A$$, regardless of your perception of my comments. I'm merely pointing out irrefutable LOGIC that indicates that yes, in answer to both of your questions, it IS indeed POSSIBLE that he was unaware. Obviously you chose to ignore the part in my earlier post where I stated that I was not saying he didn't know, I was saying it was possible he didn't know. Read the entire post, please, before choosing to yell at me and tell me how I think.
tia i just suspected you might have thought he was calling u brains since u are smart wasnt telling u not to post I knew who he was referring to. He used the term before I put my first post on this thread, and I've seen him use it before in reference to the same person. Also saw the explanation for the terms on another thread. As you said, I am intelligent.

"rrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggghhhttttttttt"...... On the internet, typing in all caps is yelling. It's just part of netiquette not to use them. It's also very difficult to read when it's in all caps. As to the rest of your comment, choose to believe what you wish regarding my beliefs. I know what they are, what other people think I believe doesn't matter. *shrugs*

| Playoffs (NHL) Posted: 4/2/2006 2:28:43 PM | Tell me something Brains ,,if your partner wfie ect, ect, ect, madea purchase of oh ,,hummm 100-thousand plus ,would you know about it?
'Looks' first of all I said it all in jest! But with that said I do think there are alot of things that one spouse does without the other ones knowledge. The Gretzkies live on a wayyyyy larger scale than you and I and if Janet decided to bet thousands of dollars, ole Wayne wouldn't particularly notice the few coffers missing! But again I am not naive to think he wasn't privy to her goings on! I just will play devils advocate and say it can and does happen! I happen to know first hand that a spouse can pull all kinds of crap without one knowing. :)

All part of being human for the conversations to go off track :P

oh when you say canadian hockey, you mean the game that was depicted in holland long before North Americans cliamed to have invented it?,,,don't understand how it could be claimed as a canada invention when canada wasn't even a dominion when it was claimed to have been invented ,,oh well, lots i don't understand ,,i guess.
Are you for real???? I have never seen such ignorance in my whole time coming on this forum.....tsk tsk.....ok....here goes:
Hockey wasn't really "invented."
A similar sport started in Ireland as the sport of Hurley. Canadians played it on ice. This happened in Nova Scotia in the 1800's. It was called Ice Hurley for quite some time and then people started to call it ice hockey.
Of course, there are other stories.
Some say the MicMac indians played a form of hockey in Nova Scotia when the Europeans arrived.
In Windsor, Nova Scotia, there is a school called Kings View Academy. A teacher there supposedly took his students out to the pond behind their school and asked them to make up a sport. The game they played became hockey.
Another interesting story says that ice hockey was first played in 1885 by British soldiers stationed in Canada. Guards who were guarding the Parliament building in Canada used to sneak off to a nearby field and play ice hockey. Some say they started by whacking rocks with a stick to stay warm. Two towns claim that the first game of hockey was played there. The first is Kingston, Ontario, and the second is a small town in New Brunswick, both of which are in Canada.
It is generally accepted that the current rules for hockey evolved from students at McGill University in Montreal ("the McGill Rules") in 1875.
Hockey was founded in Canada......choose whatever story you like, they all say that it was invented here. And please remove your head from ur a***. Thank You.
