| Would any of you Ladies date fat guys?

First I have to admit I have always been a bit heavy, probably always will be, even when I played sports, or lived in down town Seattle and walked 4-5 miles a day I was a little big. As it is I have been totally spoiled by the women in my life, they have all been beauties and several have honestly loved me. As things are I find myself spending long periods of time out of relationships, sometimes years. But when I do find my next love, it will be just that. In response to your line of questioning from my perspective its like this (I could be wrong)…
Women want what they say they want, they want kind hearted, tough exterior, spoil them rotten kind of guys. The catch is when a guy is good looking he has the same problem most attractive women have, ego. Once a person believes they can have what they want then what is the point of looking beyond that front line (vision). But most men I know who are men of honesty, kindness, and willing to walk through hell for there love are not/ were not attractive at some point in time. They have learned that it is far better to find someone who is beautiful on the inside then on the out. Not to say that its not better to find both, just that I think everyone should take the time to look a little deeper.
Women are the same way, any woman who NEEDs a diamond to be happy, or needs a six pack to even speak to someone is shallow and will end up as they deserve without the emotional support that will see there relationship through. Personally I like to want things not need them, there are needs don’t get me wrong, but in reality we want far more than we need, remembering that might slow people down a bit, allow them to connect at a level that end up together or not we all could move forward instead of starting all over again every day.
All that is honestly needed is enough attraction to wake every day and still love the person your with. Not letting youself completely go so that your partner can still see the person they fell for, or if you are a fortunate guy/girl who is ‘big’ and finds someone incredibly attractive, do the right thing and exersize stop eating the tub of chocolate every day, and make yourself presentable, because as much hope as it gives me to see a hottie with a 300 lb guy, I would like to think at that point the woman has done her bit to love regardless, and now it’s the guys turn to prove his love by giving the woman what she deserves and doing all in his power to be as attractive as possible for her. Not because he has to be, but because that’s what she deserves. and Women dont let yourself go just because you caught us... Oh well I guess you could say I would like a world to exist that may never come to pass. | |

I guess thats a yes if they Are confident and have a good self esteem sure why not:D
I mean I'ma big girl and it's hard for a guy to except me for me so for me to be shallow would well not make to much sense. I will say that their has to be a attraction going both ways for it to really work .

Posted: 3/8/2005 7:57:47 PM | im a bigger guy, not all that much but still workin on gettin more in shape, and i consider myself to be rather active...2 hours in a gym a day active enough for ya :P and if the bloody ice on the lake would melt id love to get back into rowing and kayaking and all that jazz

Posted: 3/9/2005 8:24:35 AM | Good Point.. I think most of would like to think that we are above the superfical. I wish that was indeed the case. I am a tall girl...and a size 18. I"m very pretty, thanks to God and my parents' genetics. I've had my share of great dating experiences and am not in the market for the long term after being recently divorced... However...
I find that most men my age think I'm fun and easy to talk to..but their shallowness shows up when it seems they're always looking around the corner to see if someone better looking will come along. I think women tend to be less superficial than men...BUT.. I could be wrong. When I married my husband, he was about 210lbs...then he blossomed to about 420 after six years of marriage.. ( being a truck driver didn't agree with him physically.)
But ya know.. it didn't matter to me.. I loved the man no matter what. Then.. after four more years on the road..he left me for a much bigger girl...so maybe I wasn't big enough? LOL 
Anyhooo.. I love reading the things y'all post.. Glad to know I'm in good company in the " half way decently intelligent' dept!

I am large-boned and never have been a petite woman. For years, I wanted to shop in the petite, small women stores or 5,7 and 9 size shops. Well, I got over it, fast. It was impossible to change the entire structure of my body. What I did do then and am doing now, is improve myself as much as possible, so I feel good about being me. I also want to improve my health, be strong, etc. In all honesty, my best friend and lover was about 300#. He was a wonderful man...we just met at the wrong times in our lives. We eventually married other people. To this day, I remember him fondly with a smile on my face! | |

i never seem to get skinny it's impossible to get below a number that fits your body tho if u have big bones your gonna be heavy like me i never really eat but ppl ALWAYS say i need to eat less..
I have been one who has yo-yo'ed with weight for 20 years. Finally since November I've been on a diet that has been taking it off SENSIBLY. My goal was 80 lbs and I still have 30 to go...but what I've learned through all of this is that for me - with a system I had messed up with fad diets - I had to eat MORE - but eat the right things. I check in for weigh-in 3x a week and there hasn't been a single time that I haven't been given hell for not eating everything on the plan, especially after weekends where I many times am just too busy and forget to eat.
So if you are really serious, get yourself on something that does follow a healthy eating plan - not one that is the latest fad and commit to it - it can work.
On the main subject - yes, I have dated heavier, cuddlier men. As long as they are active and can keep up - what's in the heart is what counts most! | |
