Someone you cared about rocked your self-esteem boat - that's all - it's painful to break up with somebody you care for, especially if they throw insulting daggers at you to justify their leaving, those bumps in the road of life take some time to get over
Drop the tubby man thing - that negative image of yourself is screaming to the world that you are injured, not many are attracted to the wounded.
Since I've walked in your shoes, my advice? take some time for yourself, look within - be selfish and single for awhile, involve yourself in things to enhance your mind and body, pick your sensitive self up, brush off and hold your head high - you'll benefit from the experience and come out the other side feeling like a new person  | |

Posted: 4/2/2006 6:17:49 PM | Hey man join the club and I have read a lot of what people have posted there are a lot of good points, but some stupid ones also. I have found that a lot of women do not care about what size a guy is. I am not saying that the first time you meet someone they dont notice what size a guy is but if you have the opportunity to talk to them and they see the other things you have to offer then the size thing will eventually go away. Having a good attitude and high self esteem will get you going on the right track. I am a big guy and if I go and talk to a lady and she has a problem with my size then she just does not know what she is missing out on. I know it is a problem that a lot of people face and I wish everyone good luck in finding their one special person in life.  | |

If I met someone who was morbidly obese (which I do not believe OP is), and I really cared for him, then I might suggest we get help together. I would not turn my back on someone who needed my help, no more than I would a person with any other illness (which is what obesity is.)
But would I look at him and walk away? No! Would I look at a man with only one leg and walk away? Of course not! It's the same principle! Don't judge by what you see! | |

Posted: 4/3/2006 6:59:32 PM | So I am first one to say that I also have some excess baggage, but I have been with some beatiful women. Now one I dont lie I tell the women that I am happy with who i am and you should be too. Who cares if they think your "tubby" people call me tubby and I just laugh. Women say no to me all the time for ever 10 i ask out only 1 says yes. You just have to keep trying Lime, dont give up you will find Ms. Right one day and she will treat you great no matter what you look like.
Now what gets me is the women that say looks dont matter and they want someone who is nice with a great personality then dont call you back after the first date because they dont like you being too short, or too tubby, or just not a GQ model. Those are the ones you need to beaware of, those are the ones that are shallow. Me I like my women with some extra padding even if I was skinny, I dont really like the stick figure, or what ever. I like my women with a little more to love. Its all good Lime I wish you luck and remember "Water on a ducks back" just let it roll off ya bud, if the woman is too shallow to know that your a great person then thats her tough luck.
Now here is the good news, you got a great personallity and lots of women are looking for a guy to treat them great. I have noticed from most of the women that I have talked to, that most good looking guys treat thier women wrong or dont know how to treat them. Now our advantage is we can lose weight they cant always lose thier attitudes. Hence why I am on a workout plan, and a good healthy diet so I can look good, but not for the women for myself. If it's just a little padding/few extra lbs, RELAX! Getting a dog IS a good idea if you can make that work. As is looking to the bigger ladies if you are comfortable with that.
While the world is not nearly as warped as talkingtorso believes, not too many chicks with their own sh-tuff together are going to want a broke sick guy. That's just the way it is...I'm not suggesting that a SOLID existing relationship is going to crumble in the face of medical and/or financial adversity.

Son, it sounds like you must not have any money. It's sad that you seem to attract shallow gold-digging women. I can only suggest that you either fix your attitude or your finances. If you truly believe that money is the only thing that will bring you a good relationship,then I suggest you quit whining and go get a better income(legally, PLEASE!) I'm saying this with all sincerity...if that doesn't work for you, at least you'll have more cash to comfort yourself.

Anyway keep your head up better days will come. If you are worried about your weight you should do something to make yourself feel good about yourself like go shopping get some fly ass gear get your hair done get a massage. When you feel fabulous you give off an energy that natural attracts people no matter what size you are.

There is never any harm in losing a few pounds and looking after yourself, but only do that for your benefit, not someone elses.
Now i have got that off my chest how does ANY man get a good girl? Doesn't matter on financial disposition, looks or weight. It's easy - talk to girls. Talk as if the outcome is irrelevant and you just want to be mates. And how would you talk to a mate?? Tease them, joke with them, poke fun - be mates. Then the good bit is to crank up the emotions. Let them know that you are the prize and not them. Actually be interesting. Know stuff that others want to hear about. Talk to as many girls as possible and always let them know that they are going to benefit from being around such a fun and interesting person. Don't be clingy be different. Giving all my secrets away here. BUT most importantly TALK TO WOMEN. You'll be amazed that they worry about how they look, what they weigh, does a guy like them - they are female equivalents of us. Only difference is the hot ones get bought more drinks. Even the not hot ones get bought drinks because men are rubbish. I have seen the light and all men should be able to aswell. I bet you have mates who aren't particularly attractive or rich and you see them with attractive girls -go figure!!!

This is very true but not an absolute. I mean, who knows what is beautiful behind someone else's eyes? Beauty is in the eye of the beheld. Those looked "AT". I seen what some people would call serious mismatches in my life. Guys BUTT ugly with inicredibly beautiful women and it ain't about the money. I mean I am always around Hollywood people so I know that money gets you a lot of things. But a lot of people coming out the other end of that want to find someone real so bad they can taste it. And some of the women will take any guy they can get, as long as he isn't superficial. I know a beautiful girl right now who is with this peanut headed guy and he has anythign but money. And he cheats on her in their bed and she knows it. But she wants this guy.
Growing up with a lot of beautiful women around ( My mother, her two sisters, my cousins, my grandmothers, great grandmother, their girlfriends, my babysitter who was a model and stewardess) I am very comfortable around female friends and have held one many a night in my arms while she cried herself to sleep over some ass hair who broke her heart that she was going to go back to in the morning. So I could tell you a few stories about beauties with beasts. | |
