Piercings happen to be something that is totally unnecessary for survival, and as a result, one can ponder what drives people to it. There is an element of sociology involved whereby localized acceptance in a group or generalized acceptance, and in some cases non-acceptance (as if viewed as not wholesome) are driving forces. The later would be more likely when fewer participate, and the former two cases when there is greater participation. One cannot discount the popularity of piercings in recent years, and accordingly, one should ask that if sometime before widespread acceptance it was suitable to live without piercings, why is there so much a push nowadays.

I think personal adornment is almost part of the male ritual to attract a mate. The same reason we have boy racers with silly wings on their cars the same reason people pay $300 for a pair of jeans and the same reason why people jack up their trucks. They are all the same things vying for the attention of the most attractive mate, and to be honest thats a good thing isn't it, if none of us made an effort then the world would be quite a mundain space. | |

She had a pic on-line with a pierced facial lip. It looked like a fishing accident to me. I mean, it was like a fish hook stuck in her face and looked so painful! I tried making light of it, but guess she wanted to be ticked off. Go figure! LOL

I love bridge piercings on guys as well as medusa piercings, septums and double nostrils do it for me too. I'm not into the whole tongue piercing thing tho because I have two and I think they're over rated. Surface piercings are attractive and I think that frenum ladders are pretty hot too... and PAs as well. ... Hell Im cool with any piercings, not too fond of eyebrow piercings though... anyway, I'll bugger off now | |

i have had my septum, tounge(2 at once), my shaft, and head of my D, and my belly button as a joke. and they did cause alot of discomfort, but, i could (and almost always did) fold up my septum so it wasnt visible, and often wore plastic see through tounge studs.
my employment didnt allow and piercings whatsoever, and was very strict on the issue, and i got away with it.
they were fun, and enjoyed...i think they were worth it, and, like someone said, they were all temporary...:) | |
