Posted: 5/16/2008 4:08:45 AM | Waters was always Floyd for me. His angst filled lyrics and that acerbic screaming voice were so unique. Dave's guitar work and his voice were irreplaceable of course and Ricks early keyboards and ability with the media played their part as well but without Waters there would have been no Dark Side, Wish you Were Here, Animals or Wall.
The Final Cut still sends shivers down the spine as does Hitchhikers.

Posted: 5/16/2008 10:24:15 AM | All great, but for me its the Animals album...you know how some music hits you, time and place. For me, its that album, pigs on the wing....etc.
Can't say I appreciated the Pink Floyd albums as much once they did the Wall. Sort of lost something for me...but that's just my personal taste. | |
