Bad topics to end a date real quick

1..Wow, how much did you pay to get those puppies? *ummm dude their homegrown not store bought*

2..Had one date (back in high school) explain in fine detail his entire self discovery of the lost temple of boogers up his nose.

3..Telling your date that your ex is way 'prettier' than you (yep that one happened...I almost cleaned his clock on that one)

4..Met at a restuarant for dinner, sat down and my date leans into me and whispers 'oh by the way, my mom is joining us for dinner' (was our first date and last)

Worst topic by far to end a date quickly

Guy asked me if I was riding the cotton pony and if he could help me when I needed to replace. OMG EWE....TRUE STORY

sherness: all of those comments were "insults" coming from your dates. 40 years ago vis a vis Hollywood a woman would slap a man's face for saying such derogatory things. I think women should just get up and leave when a man says things like that. Make arrangements ahead of time for a girlfriend to come and get you if necessary, but let the guy know you're a lady and that you won't accept his rude comments. Why would you even want to spend a whole evening let alone another date with jerks who say such insensitive things? Their comments will only get worse as time goes on. I think you may be attracting "abusers" probably because you are too tolerant of bad behavior.

While I appreciate your comments, these dates were from high school. Back then I didn't know my asss from a hole in the wall and had no backbone to stand up for myself.

Now, I'm a retired Marine and would kick their assests for making comments like those I mentioned.

I met a guy once that stated in his "interests" H20 fun... I was thinking waterskiing, surfing, boating, etc... but when we met, he starts to explain his version of H20 fun and it had nothing to do with the outdoors. He even seemed surprised that I didn't recognize this kinky code...

Granted, I may not be "with it" but I'll never be with him again -- ever. What a creep.

Treating the date as if it is a job interview. Q & A instead of a conversation.

Yup - had those dates, too. Gah! Note there is very little revealed about themselves, they are usually evasive as hell. Red flag!

I had a date that mentioned casually, "oh, I want to make a little detour to visit my Dad in the hospital". I am then introduced to the father and at the end of the visit, the patron says loudly: "boy, she's a keeper!"

OMFG

SingleGuy4911 that is flucking hysterical!!!!!

Not only would that end the date quickly, would make me run to the closest emergency room!

TOOOO FUNNY

Course, on the same line..you could always discuss how the fungus on your foot is starting to get furry and you won't need to wear socks for the rest of the winter.

That should end the date real quick!

I've had a few dates that ended quickly -

A guy telling me he's got a warrant out for his arrest in another state and thats why he's in my state.

One guy told me he spent a little time in jail for a minor offense - beating up his wife.

I also don't like guys who want to tell me how much money they make and all the various items they own - boat, house, motorcycle, etc. It comes across as bragging. Its about as bad as someone wanting to know my income and if I own anything of value.

But when I got there his friend was there and they were planning on going to a strip bar and me and the kid going to the movies....hmmm I dont think so.lol I left and never answered his calls when he tried to get me to come back, said he was just joking...right! Wierd things happen I know but I think this takes the cake, what do you others think?

I was planning on buying some fine wine, and inviting you over..

I planned to dim the lights, and read you some of my poetry..

Back to the drawing board......

Did anyone mention - TOE NAIL FUNGUS? How about how they are still limber enough to stick their foot to their mouth - then 3 fast topics later they tell you that their doctor said they had the most outrageous case of toe nail fungus he'd ever seen outside of a text book?

Hmmm... well one particular one comes to mind. How about talking about a hooter's waitress (who made it clear that anyone who took her out had to buy her clothes and expensive drinks) you saw on the site that you want to take out for the evening? That was a deal breaker half an hour in lol.

Quoting from message 51:
1..Wow, how much did you pay to get those puppies? *ummm dude their homegrown not store bought*

I am a "natural" also.... but i heard a good retort to a similar question:
Q. "Are those real?"
A."Yes... real expensive!"

My most recent date-ending conversation was with an otherwise interesting, "nice" and attractive guy who told me the gory details of his ex-wife's surgery, in addition to how much alimony and child support he was paying to each of his ex-wives.... this guy had a nice house but NO HOT WATER and blamed it on the payouts to his exes. His charms just weren't enough to offset his choice of topics.

Was having a conversation with a date about piercings and our daughters. I mentioned that my daughter had her tongue pierced - and he was quick to point out to me that she did it so guys would know she likes to give head.

I too have the guts to end dates when I know it's not going to work out. I vividly remember being set up with a guy who lied about being a political moderate. It turned out he voted for Bush and considered him the lesser of two evils (ugh! Sen. Kerry served honorably in Vietnam when Bushboy went AWOL!! GAG!! What was he THINKING???!!). I told him right out that there would be no chance in of a relationship because I don't want to spend the rest of my life or duration of a relationship having political arguments. Good on the poster who said that he or she has the balls to stand up and end such dates. Hey that's what we all should do when those date enders or deal breakers occur. Just dump 'em and move on to better fish. Why have a pickled herring when you can have a delicious yummy flounder

Back on topic:

Talking about the symptoms he is experiencing with an STD in detail

If a surgeon talking about the details of surgeries

Telling me that I should either like Star Trek or Star Wars but not both. Duh, I like both very much, and it's not THAT important!

Talking in Elvish in complete sentences and expecting me to understand. HUH????

Talking about matters of personal hygiene in great detail, such as flossing teeth

Telling me he totally HATES sports and does not want to hear sports talk from me. Well that's kind of hard to do as I like sports!

Discussing the proper procedures for gutting a fish after a day of fishing
Now THAT's appetizing, NOT!

Talking about catch and release fishing for an hour. Um, back to for another fish!!

First date fun......

With one guy---a Long, involved discussion about his ex---including the horrible, painful breakup when she ran off with his best friend and left him broken-hearted.

Another time, different guy, the Topic of conversation: How good looking he is and how every girl wants him (such as the girl who came onto him last night when he was out and wanted to take him home), but he has very high standards and won't hook up with just *anyone* (oh boy, did I feel privileged! A HOT guy was sitting at my table and acknowledging my existence! YAY!!)

A guy telling me he thought I had good "breeder hips." Woohoo! What a compliment!

My favorite so far....Last summer, going out with this one guy who was a gym rat...I had just started going back to the gym recently, so I guess I had lost a few pounds from when I posted my picture (on a different website). He complimented me on the "progress" I'd made and he thought I was cute, but I would be "much hotter" if I lost "a little more weight, about another ten pounds," ...THEN trying to advise me on all of these exercises I could do to tone up and slim down. Um, I already have someone to help me with that, thank you....

There are some more but that's all I can think of for the moment.....
