Your more then welcome to the complement.
I don't want to get too far off topic.
However, I would like to explain. I like to try and use words and terms, that are of more class, and are more complementary to an individual if I may, in a subtle way, rather then being so blunt, and to the point all the time.
Therefore, by using graciously for example, or in this case, graciously funny, to be complementary to the individual. That they are funny, but in a classy, gracious way.
As for being a wallflower, that is ok to, yet if you do receive attention in a complementary way, then I feel that there must of been something special about you, or someone thought that there was something special about you that they liked.
That is my guess.
Back on topic, am I shy, it all depends on the situation, and how I am feeling with it.
Sometimes, I am, sometimes I am not shy.
Sincerely and Best Wishes From Neill

| Are you shy? Posted: 4/4/2006 8:59:20 PM | Ahhh HL, thank you, your such a good sport, and a graciously funny one at that.
I am sure that both you and halokitty, would be the life of the party, rather then being shy, eh gal.
Got to me ya, some time HL, at one of our local POF Parties here in Vancouver.
Sincerely And Best Wishes From GLBTH

| Are you shy? Posted: 4/4/2006 8:59:21 PM | I'm abit shy around girls but thats just from being called down for years by the ex. Not shy enough in public. I sometimes open my mouth when I shouldn't. People sometimes don't like to hear the truth. Like today when I told one of my neighbors they must be the winniest (probally not a word) person I know. A cronic complainer. Glad I'm changing my neighborhood in the next couple days! | |

| Are you shy? Posted: 4/6/2006 11:08:04 AM | I too am quite shy, and it is such a tough thing. I have difficulties when meeting people and sometimes it gets interpreted as I am being snobby or something but once I get to know people I am usually fine. | |
|
| Are you shy? Posted: 4/6/2006 4:27:45 PM | | exactly like me, secret! till i get to know them,...just cuz we're shy, doesn't mean we're snobs! | |
|
| Are you shy? Posted: 4/6/2006 4:41:14 PM | yeah, not too nice to be mis-interpreted is it. Sometimes first impressions are not that great. I am a very nice person if given me a chance. Patience is a virtue! The Pof group where I am is a really teriffic group so that has sure helped me. Hang in there, 1andlovinit, I know how ya feel | |

| Are you shy? Posted: 4/6/2006 6:03:33 PM | __I am shy in a funny way. I can chat a storm with any stranger, make them laugh and socialise like anybody else. __But I can not ask for a date. Well, I have a few times. Got turn down most times and the few positive replies I got scared me so that I was never able to pursue it. __In my younger days I would go to a dance and spend the evening leaning on a wall or a post praying that not one would notice me. __Now days, it's vary refreshing to know that ladies will think of nothing to ask a guy out. This happens to this old boy more and more these days. Thank you, ladies.

| Are you shy? Posted: 4/6/2006 6:29:41 PM | It's weird with me...sometimes I'm really shy and I don't know what to say, but at other times you can't shut me up. Although, I'll say anything after you get a few drinks in me...as some of you may know... | |

| Are you shy? Posted: 4/6/2006 11:02:26 PM | I am shy, very very very shy, those that have met me will attest to this. | |
|
| Are you shy? Posted: 4/6/2006 11:09:55 PM | | Yes, I can admit to shyness. In a group event, it's different. But I've got this *other* side where, if it's a one one one, "Hey wanna go do something?" I am so not going to ask that question. Just too shy to get up the nerve. But hanging with the POF group I've got is good. But to go up to someone and ask them out, I am really shy. She's gotta be special on different levels to get me to take the chance. | |

Painfully shy. I ran out of my first POF event. Now I can't get enough of them I have overcome some of my shyness but at times that painfull shyness comes back. Its just so unpredictable. I definately don't seem shy to the POFers that know me and I sometimes love being the centre of attention. Well at least thats what a couple people have told me lately so I am going with it.
