| Quote of the Week Posted: 4/26/2008 4:00:47 AM | Certain mental telegraphy is an industry which is always silently at work -- oftener than otherwise, perhaps, when we are not suspecting that it is affecting our thought... I imagine that we get most of our thoughts out of somebody else's head, by mental telegraphy -- and not always out of the heads of acquaintances, but, in the majority of cases, out of the heads of strangers; strangers far removed... -Mark Twain | |

Beer is like a fine well aged prostitute, it takes years to learn her tricks. She is cruel, laughs at you when your naked. But you keep coming back for more and more and more, why? She is the only prostitute I can afford!! | |

| Quote of the Week Posted: 4/26/2008 4:55:20 AM | LC,
...that was at first read, rather profound. For some reason the way I read it, death immediately came to mind, because on every occasion I, or someone whom I've been with has lost someone close to me/ them (save when I was single or very young), I/we have turned to physical love that night. That long, slow, hang-on-for-dear-life kind of love making, not just 'sex'.
I never recognized it as a pattern, or even as human nature, being too engulfed in grief at the time to see anything past that heart-wrenching feeling of loss one has.
So I've read it and re-read it a few more times, and I still find it to be profound, but now I see the words as oddly comforting, as well. Thanks for writing that, LC.
