| world,s most beautiful lake Posted: 11/21/2006 3:33:01 PM | Medicine lake in Jasper, Alberta as it disappears magically each winter and returns each summer add to that the great views of the Canadian Rockies. AND... Lake Temagami in Temagami, Ontario,,,beauty of unspoiled nature prevails in its northern surroundings and it is glacier fed water which can be drank straight from the lake without boiling or treating, you may also be so lucky as to witness a black bear or a moose swimming in it,,,the 'Group of Seven' artists have painted it as well. | |

| world,s most beautiful lake Posted: 11/21/2006 4:48:05 PM | [you may also be so lucky as to witness a black bear or a moose swimming in it]...sounds to me like a good reason to treat the water before drinking it..lol | |

| world,s most beautiful lake Posted: 11/29/2006 6:36:57 AM | | I thought Lake Tahoe was beautiful and Lake Superior but I haven't seen enough of the world to even guess where the most beautiful lake is. Probably it would be where there is little pollution (if there is such a place) and the only humans present are indigenous. | |

| world,s most beautiful lake Posted: 11/30/2006 5:29:23 PM | well peyto, morraine, louise, crypt (in waterton) and horseshoe are all quite lovely lakes. I've been too all many, many times. I've seen peyto from up top near the glacier and cauldron lake. yes, it rocks. I've cliff jumped at horse shoe. I've swam in morraine after doing the skyline hike. lake louise - well, I've seen it from the other side up top as well and have taken everyone who comes to visit there.
#1 lake in the world that I've been to - Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan. and Emma/Candle. Beautiful sand beach/bottom, lovely trees all around for scenery, clean/clear water, awesome waterskiing and great people = great times!!
that's what makes a great lake! | |

| world,s most beautiful lake Posted: 12/16/2006 12:32:31 PM | | I agree, Petyo lake has to be the worlds most beautiful lake. I give a close second to Lake Titicaca (3820m/12,600ft). From Isla Amantani looking south toward Bolivia with the high elevation the colour of the water is one I never seen before. | |
