I'm 67 and lovin it because, while some of you are creeping up on 45 or whatever, I'm creepin' up on you.   
I am having a really good life.
Getting older didn't do much other than allowed me to experience even more freedom.
And, I'd rather get older than croak. | |

Yes, it does seem to go faster as one ages. Perhaps that is so because of less novelty in one's daily existance? That is not to say that life has become more boring. Not true at all. The daily experience seems to be more intense. Even the people are prettier! And I find myself more willing to engage people in conversation when I am out in public. | |

Some how I'm turning 50 in Aug. Not sure how that can be happening I don't feel 50, don't look 50 and don't act 50. I think someone has been lieing to me and has doctored my bith certificate and I'm really 30. LOL
I think your age is all in your attitude and how you feel and act. | |

Most people think I'm in my early 30's and are shocked when they find out how old I really am (I had to show one young guy my driver's license cause he wouldn't believe me). This is purely genetic, my Mum is 79 and she has been asked if she qualifies for the senior discount. I should be so lucky at her age.
I really believe what I wrote age is all in your attitude. Aging is something we have no control over and is going to happen. So we might as well have a positive attitude and go at live with zeal. We only get one kick at the can and should make it a great one. | |

Do I start to panic ? To be honest - YES !!!
Funny thing was about 13 month ago I felt like - " I am just a bit over 40"
Today I am soo much closer to 50
Amazing what 13 month can do to you.
Got 10 years older in such a short period of time.
Perhaps it doesn't really help that I hang out mostly with people 10 years younger. .
Some of them call me grandpa now. . .

I'm coming up on 47, yes 3 yrs before the big 50.
Turning 40 kinda bothered me, amazing how fast the past 6 yrs have gone.
Feeling okay abt the upcoming birthday,just hate the thought of all those candles:)

Barbeque going all day and a few cold ones being sipped, felt great all day. Now today.......the body feels like it is 45, but when you play, ya gotta pay | |

I look forward to becoming 50 in 4 yrs and ill celebrate i made it, there are so many wonderful things to enjoy when you get past the pretence age and live every day to please you. I guess its a bit of a worry when i still cant figure out what i want to be when i grow up. | |

Posted: 6/4/2006 7:12:22 AM | My mom was the best! Every year she would dance around singing, whoo hooo, I'm alive another year, nah, nah, nah. She lived life and loved life - at 70 she did cross country skiing, ti-chi (sp?), and swimming. 72 that was the last time I heard her dance around and sing (accident). Can think of worse things OP then turning 45... may you dance yourself silly holding chocolate in one hand and wine in the other, until the end.   | |

I prefer to say I am 39 plus postage & handling .. or 39 American (although that doesn’t work as well these days with exchange rates closing in). | |

Posted: 6/4/2006 7:20:59 AM | | my brother was the big 50 last friday ( june 2) it was a good night, what my nephew did was to get in contact with all the old football players he used to play with and kept it quite from his dad, and there was only about 6 players who did not make it great time we had, and now lm lookingh forward to my 45th on this friday ( june 9th ), probaly go for a meal some where, or try and thing of something crazy to do any ideas welcome lol. | |
