Posted: 2/26/2005 7:28:22 PM | I like the site alot and have recommended it to a few others. I love the fact it's FREE..... I love the Forums, but I haven't found any locally for Massachusetts. :(
I haven't met anyone from the site, but I wish someone would respond back to me instead of deleting emails I send to them.
I have found some guys are extremely picky and don't want a woman that isn't a Barbie....and the fact I have a teenage daughter. I am not looking for a "father" for her..she's got one in another state whom she sees alot.
I just wish I could meet a wonderful guy that is accepting of myself being a BBW and a single parent of a teenage daughter. I would love to put a success story on here in the future! | |

I just dont get it.

After getting out of a six year relationship I kinda felt like this was the end of my ropes, desperation you may say. Crazy how things work out. I starting talking to this guy, Stephen you know who you are, and he's great. We've only been talking for a couple of days but he's all that I could ask for in a friend. You never know what might happen! They say that everyone has a primary and a secondary soulmate; maybe my ex was just my secondary soulmate so is my primary still out there? After reading how many people find love online, I feel a little better about doing this, I don't feel so desperate. Oh well, overall I'd say that plenty of fish is great. If it weren't for pof then I would have never started talking to Stephen and god knows "I love him" (Stephen you know what I'm saying!). | |

It's a great site if you are here just for fun and nothing else. But if you are one of those poor male souls who really want to find someone to share a life with, find another way. This isn't it. Most women are on this site grocery shopping. If they find something that appeals to them, they'll respond until they tire of communication and then they go shopping again. Don't let them waste your time if you're seriously looking. However, if you're like me and just messing around with it for forums and exchanging ideas and opinions, it is really a wonderful adventure.

Posted: 3/20/2005 12:26:04 AM | A lot of the contacts were men in or from Africa, several of whom wrote poetry to me. I'm not a racist by any means, it was more the language barrier that proved difficult for me.
Plentyoffish turned out to be a success for my boyfriend and me. There were a lot of people who didn't meet my standards, but checking in every other day or so proved fruitful once the new match came up.
As with anything, I think it's more the dedication that pays off in the end. Prayer helps, too. ;)

There are some of the most amazing people on here. They have become some of my greatest friends. I love talking with them every day. I have even met a really great guy from this site. Things have been going great with us so far, and I am hoping that things will continue to stay that way. He's a sweetheart and I really enjoy being around him. So I just have to say THANK YOU POF!!! Posted: 3/28/2005 10:31:52 AM | I am very happy so far. The site runs smoothly and I really appreciate that it's free. The admin actually replies to questions on the boards. I've only had a serious issue with one female member and she was promptly banned.
No real concrete potentials for love yet, but that's ok, having a nice time on the forums for now.
