I think this site is great! Met some great people, and the forums are great entertainment. Plus I think it is great that they occasionally have get togethers.

It's been pretty much what I expected. I'm enjoying the forums, there are some really nice people on here.

P.S. Have you noticed it's like the same 15 people on the mail page who've checked their mail rcently? They're probably getting really sick of seeing my mug on there. LOL

When I first found POF I was immediately attracted to the fact that it was free and I could actually exchange e-mails. I've met a few really good people and some ... not so good, but that happens in life anyway. Despite my reservations, I created a simple, honest profile and have updated pics when I can. THEN... I discovered the forums! Whoa... this is truly awesome!!! It's a great way to get and give opinions, ideas, or whatever you feel like talking about. I enjoy the people so much and appreciate all the nice comments and messages. True nuff.. there are sometimes that I don't respond as quickly as I should, but I do try. Best of luck to everyone in finding their special guppy and avoiding the sharks!

As far as online dating sites go, I think this one is the best. I tried www.findsomeone.ca and www.lavalife.com and both were pretty quiet compared to this one. I like the forums too. I've met some interesting people... it's all good!

SweetKristine, been banned twice? lol Hard for me to imagine from what I've seen of you... hmmm
anyhow, I love this site. Addictive, for sure. is fun... But the forums are better. You can get burned on occasion, but that's the same anywhere. I still say I'd rather spend a few weeks chatting online with someone and find out they're not cool, than meet up in person and find out they're a jerk. It's easier this way if that's gonna happen.
But, yes, it's fun for sure! :)

Plenty of fish has treated my fairly. Despite that I only had good conversations with a girl on here. I bumped into a few girls that were stuck up, but I just kept going and forgot about It. I was on www.teen.email.net (doesn't exist till this day) 4 years ago and there are a lot more picture profiles. On teen.email.net, I was meeting up with girls who didn't have picture profiles and things went okay. I look forward to getting back into it soon. I just had a wild argument for nothing with another girl on here. I shouldn't be blackmailed, rumoured, or threatened in anyway. I'm here just to find the right girl for me. I'm not here to fight or start a riot.

It's a diversion only
It makes me think quick
It makes me laugh, sigh, cry, frown when I'm home alone
Real life is sooooo much better
xoxo

To all - good cheers

I am a life coach/therapist and 99% of my clients who call me are single people with relationship problems. So, to work with these topics and then get on these forums, which is sort of like still being at work can be a little taxing IF I begin to take myself seriously and feel that I need to give input. So, I balance my work life seriousness with unbridled silliness on here and am just having a blast. I enjoy starting ridiculous threads with the most serious sounding titles, making a lot of playful and sarcastic remarks without hopefully hurting anyone's feelings. But, I believe it's very healthy to write a lot and share your thoughts - and especially debate here and there - as it sharpens the mind. It's great for my line of work to see what peole are thinking about on different issues. Sometimes, I will give serious advice - good or bad - and then copy and paste into Word. Maybe I'll write a book from all of this accumulation of thoughts (the serious, not my typical silly nonsense). And finally, I enjoy meeting the many women from this site, flirting and being playful. All of it makes me feel very alive.

Still have the line in the water but I'll be sleeping on the boat and one day the line will pull so damn hard it will almost snap but I'll manage to pull it in for a keeper and mount it on the wall lol what an analogy lol later................ Robbie G
