They only smoke during certain circumstances. One guy I know only smokes when he's out with the guys then doesn't smoke again until they hook up again for a boys nite out. To me that's an occasional smoker. It's not in his everyday life so it's on occasion only. | |

On the weekends a little more, depends on what I'm doing or who I'm with...I smoke maybe 1.5 - 2 packs in 7 days, so to me that constitutes as occasionally.. | |

Yea, i'm a smoker, I don't deny it, I'm on my way to quiting, lol, a long way!!! But i used to smoke 2 packs a day too, used to smoke so much i even had it down to a science, lol, could keep the cig in my mouth at the same time as drinking, and would even smoke while eating. Now i'm under a pack a day, so i think i'm occasional, compared to before. I find the toghest thing to stop is smoking at the bus stop, we all know it makes the bus come faster! | |

You can't always trust what they put in their profiles, anyway. I met a man whose profile had "no smoking", and the second time we met he asked if I minded if he had a cigarette. I never saw him a third time.
Do people really think they won't be found out?

For me it's more like if I have a few drinks + I am with smokers that I want to.
I started nicorette + cutting back gradually + working out almost daily, which makes it easier to cut back and hopefully all together. I can't say I'll never have the odd one again, so I don't want to put non-smoker likely for awhile. I realize it limits my luck on this site, but I am who I am.
On that note - THIS WEEK IS NON SMOKING WEEK - another motivator for everone to think about! | |

1. I have a lot of friends that are coined as "Social smoker's", this is someone that smokes while out at a bar, party etc. But Monday through Friday they abstain.
2. There is no option for "light smoker", the options are: Prefer not to say, no, occasionally or often. Occasionally can also be someone that smokes under a half a pack during a regular day.
As for myself, I smoke and I chose occasionally as I don't sit there and chain smoke I tend to smoke more while having a drink and less during the day. | |
