Ya know robert, I *will go check that out on-line later. My minds always open to new information-so thanks for the title! I've got an idea (from your previous posts) what it may be about....the actuality, or lack thereof, of Jesus' earthly existance (???). From new info, I've actually been wondering lately about this myself, and even had seriously contemplated it previously-mainly because of my findings on/in Mithraism. So I bet I'll find The Jesus Puzzle quite interesting. Thanks again for the title of the (online) book! Now I'm gonna be up half the night...lol
You take care also, Robert.

"Well, how many kinds of sins are out there? Do you think all sins are easy to avoid.
Yes you can avoid killing people and stealing but what about the fun ones?
There are many bad things those are fun to do --- i.e. drugs, prostitution, gambling and adultery. Anything to do with temptations is not easy to stay away from - unless you have - on the back of your mind a conscious thought that you can go to hell for it."

This is a very selfish outlook, don't do things because you will get punished in hell. I don't visit prostitutes because sex is something special to be shared with the one you love not because I'm afraid of hell. When in a relationship I don't commit adultry because I would not do anything to hurt my partner nor to sully my self, not because I am afraid of going to hell. Yours is a very dangorous way of thinking, it is the reason that when the Church said it was alright to burn people at the stake everyone just let it happen "O we won't go to hell for it, well then I guess it is ok."

Right and Wrong are regardless of punishment or reward.. which brings me to..

"For the opposite reason to entice us – God has also mentioned about the heavens."

Your scueing the basic definition of reward. You takeing the assumption that there is a deal with god and if we fofill our side of the deal then he will hold up his. Like I tell the neighber kid that if he mows my yard I will let him use my pool all summer. This is not a reward, it is a payment, a deal, a trade.
A reward would follow more like this. I wake up one day and find the neighbor kid has moed my yard. I didn't ask him, he just saw it needed doing and did it. So I reward him with swiming in the pool.

Notice the difference. In the first one, an action was performed in order to receve the payoff. While in the second a reward is given for an active unselfish act.

"I don’t know about you but just think – how many people are doing bad things knowing about the hell? Now imagine what would happen if the deterrent wasn’t there?"

And saddly, despite all my debating to the contray, I often fear you are on the money with that one. To many people only do the right things out of fear of punishment. That is why it is the responsiblity of us all to pich up as much slack as we can.

Well! For the same reason some would think “death sentence” in the court system is not punishment enough for the serial killers. Some think they should rot in the jail and suffer. I know others are against death sentence for different moral reason but I am not talking about them.

If God had declared that there is no ever-lasting damnation then some desperate people won’t be scared to commit suicide because they will think God will send them to non existence, where they won’t exist anymore. They are already considering committing suicide from the world – so what will stop them then if there is no ever-lasting damnation? ["/quote"]

Well according to scriptures and those that believe in an eternal damnation, there will be those who still won't be deterred. As for suicides, apparently the thought of eternal damnation didn't stop many of them from happening.

This is one of my biggest problem with religions that anthropomorphize a supreme being. It's a bit anthrocentric to apply terms of human punishment in terms of infinity.

I don't know about you,but just the temporal punishment for crimes here on earth is enough of a deterrant to me, as well the logical reason why certain things are crimes to begin with.

To LilNikki:
Thanks for any word of support. I have read some of your posts in other threads. Your knowledge seems huge! There is nothing little about LilNikki!

Love to hear your views on those nine questions. If you find time - then please share.

My original post is based on a well-known religion. There is a reason why I have not named any name. Most people don’t know much about their own religion. The majority of those who know – will agree completely. However I am not looking for a flame war if any of them think I got something wrong. I have not fully researched this religion yet, so I have no desire to answer its practitioners who hardly know their own religion. Not to mention the tough spirited critics from other fate or no fate!!

I still need opinions on these questions because I am researching this one particular religion. I was hoping that more people would express their views. Looks like not many are willing to do that.

Assuming your morals are really sound - Do you believe morally everyone is on the same levels as you are?
So those of us who still decide to do bad things – What do think God should do with them?? What do you think God should do to the murderer, rapist, adulterer and so on? Absolutely nothing? Shouldn’t there be any punishment for them afterlife? Not everyone gets caught and punished in this world, you know.

In an ideal (heavenly) world where we can see God – I agree that most of us would do what God asks because what reason do we have to disobey? But in a world with so many confusions and so little direct evidence – Do you really believe everyone would just refrain from all kinds of evil practice just by virtuous religious beliefs? Why doesn’t everyone think like you and just not visit prostitutes and commit adultery or kill people at all then? Why there is so much evil in the world?
Remember, according to my original post - even in an ideal situation where we could see God, Satan still was able to fool us.

Are you saying that we should do good deeds first and then hope to be rewarded by God? And if the reward is there then fine but if the reward is not there – that is fine too? Yes of course - that should be our aim and that would make us a perfect creation.

By ndkofep:
“Notice the difference. In the first one, an action was performed in order to receive the payoff. While in the second a reward is given for an active unselfish act.”

Nobody is telling you not to perform unselfish acts on God’s behalf. But frankly speaking - in a world where deceptions are so readily surrounds us and the evidence of existence of God is not completely clear to us --- the reward and punishment IMO is not a wrong thing that God has put on the table. It makes perfect sense to me.
But, remember the kind of devotion you mentioned is obviously the best we can show to God. When it comes from the heart – I agree that - it is priceless. And I believe God will know the difference and appreciate those more. But everyone has to start his or her devotion somewhere; hence the path is shown to perfection.

But those who perform good deeds out of fear are still better than those who do the evil. God did say better remember him at distress and pain than not remember him at all!!!

“As for suicides, apparently the thought of eternal damnation didn't stop many of them from happening.”

Instead of thinking about how many still committing suicides – we need to think how many are not committing the sin because of the deterrent. How many terminally ill but morally stable people are refraining from taking own life?
Many and many more people might have ended their life prematurely if suicide wasn’t banned. A small medical problem or a bad period in life can draw many depressed people to take their own life. If these people thought suicide is allowed and not a sin then imagine what would happen?
If we investigate the cases of people of suicide - we might see that those people never had that much faith in their religion in the first place but if we take interview of older people with diseases, we might see that more people might be willing to end it if the restriction wasn’t there.

Ask yourself the following question… Why would A Supreme Being make us with a conscious that has no connection with his way of dealing with things and have no connection with his way of thinking?? Why would he make us in a completely new way? If you have a good answer to this then please share with us. I am not saying that we are made in God’s exact reflection, but our way of thinking cannot be totally based on something out of God’s realm and reality.

Why are there so many crimes/evil in this world then? Assuming you are good – How many people think the way you do and refrain from doing bad stuff?

By the way, the actual number of people who would be condemned to everlasting damnation– is actually up to God. It could just be one entity – the Satan!!!
God has the prerogative to forgive everyone and not use the hell at all. If he could create such a big universe just to give us a second chance – why can’t he create hell and not use it? However I do believe many will go to hell but for a limited punishment. At the end of that punishment most will make it to heaven.

That's a cultural perspective. Not all cultures believe suicide to be a mortal sin.In some cultures under some circumstances, it's actually seen as a virtue.

Why would a supreme being make us with a conscious that has no connection with his way of dealing with things and have no connection with his way of thinking?? Why would he make us in a completely new way?

Who says we were created with a conscious?Couldn't the "conscious" be something we developed when we began to structure ourselves socially? Why should all sentient life be limited to bipedal humanoids? The universe is infinite and today many physicists believe there to be an infinite number of universes. Why should an infinite being who has an infinite choice of forms be limited to just one?Because it's our perspective? We're like this, so therefore God must be like that. How anthrocentric can you get?

Why are there so many crimes/evil in this world then? Assuming you are good – How many people think the way you do and refrain from doing bad stuff?

Good and evil are concepts based on our social structure. This is our perspective. We as a society draw the lines and say, "This is right/this is wrong".It's based on our condition of having to live with one another.Evil exists because we are a society comprised of individuals, we don't function on a hive mentality like bees and ants, therefore there will always be those among our society who will try to buck the system. It's individual nature vs. societal good.It can be a tough balancing act.

1) He is silent because we are going to do what we want anyhow.
2) Complete caous, then the devil would have to show.
3) we are here to evolve and soon teach others how to live.
4) That one I dont know.
5) Without good there is not evil, and vise versa.
6) same as number 5.
7) To scare you into believing in just him.
8) yes.
9) We souldnt, we should follow the basic principals tho.

Glad I could clear that up

OP
Are you saying that all of the rebellious bad angels that disobeyed all at once... down through time are waiting in line as soon as a baby is born to take on human bodies so they can get that second chance to prove themselves obedient?

Why God is silent? Why Earth? Why Satan? Why damnation? Heaven exists??
Posted: 3/30/2008 9:48:34 AM

1) Why God is silent?
"God" is far from silent.. the entire universe is an expression of "God" .. in my eyes that's a whole lot of revelation.

2) Why God does not show himself to us?
Read above

3) Why are we here on earth in the first place?
Now that is an interesting question.. and I'm sure one every person asks himself/herself at least once in their life. From what I understand the reason for existance and manifestation on earth is to experience the duality.. and through the duality to learn spiritual concepts in a dimension that is slow enough, dense enough for us to learn "cause and effect" and personal responsibility for our choices and creative abilities. IF the dichotomy of the "adversary" (and I suggest reading the book of Job to get a better idea of "Satan's" real place and role in human affairs) is correct then it isn't about punishment at all, but about learning to choose the best and the highest.. which precludes ego.. as ego is not the best choice for everyone.. this comes back to the concept that although we have individuality and free will we are also part of the ONE, all connected and what we choose to do affects the whole as well. There is a very delicate balancing act between exercising free wil and being responsible for those choices.. and also realizing that what one does has much larger implications than is normally perceived. A loving God would have granted us through free will the opportunity to try out our own ideas on how to do things.. but with that freedom comes the opportunity to also experience the consequences of that behavior and choices.. hence.. the material plane.. and earth. Those who are spiritually advanced are aware that their choices, what they "do unto others" is akin to what they do unto themselves... hence the learning of the great moral objective... treat others as you would like to be treated.. because in the end, it's all the same.

4) What’s God’s plan behind creating this world?
To afford spirit to experience their own existence...and through creation for "God" to also experience that.

5) Why God gave so much power to Satan/Evil?
Good/Evil are constructs of the dualistic universe...one can not exist without the other.. it is a direct reflection of the dichotomy of light/dark... a spiritual reflection. We learn about these things by experiencing the polarity.. we would not know light if there was no dark...we would have nothing to compare it to.. it's all relative. How would we know good if there was no evil.. how could it be "defined" as good? Think about explaining evil to a small child... it's almost impossible because they have no experience of it... they have to experience making good and bad choices to develop a moral conscience. A 3 year old does not comprehend that pulling kitty's tail is a "bad" action.. it isn't until after the child develops compassion, which stems directly from empathy, which stems directly from the child experiencing pain and then being able to project that other creatures ALSO experience pain that this moral sense develops. WE ARE EXACTLY the same.. our experience here on earth sensitizes us to pain though experience and gives us an opportunity to comprehend it and develop empathy and compassion (ie: the "Wounded Healer" archetype).. we begin to understand it.. and hopefully to develop a moral sense after identifying with other life. Without physicality... learning these concepts could be difficult...as physical pain (whether a wound or emotional distress which we experience physically) is only possible on this plane of existence... on a higher plane these things would much more intangible...although the damage would be as great I would think.

6) Why God don’t eliminate Satan and directly protect us?
Why don't we shelter our children through to maturity? Because they wouldn't LEARN FOR THEMSELVES...

7) Why the ever-lasting damnation?
There is no such thing and it is an evil and a lie of the worst kind that has been perpetuated to control the masses by organized religion... and the basic concept isn't even judaic/christian in origin.. it's Zoroastrian. It causes such fear and anguish in humans that I believe it is the most horrid concept based on the vengeful and hateful who dreamt it up.. it is a direct reflection of the worst in human nature. Love does not abide in it...

8) Is there really heaven and hell?
Nope... not in the sense that there are actual "places".. these are states of mind...and soul. "Separation" from SOURCE, "God" would be the closest one could get to hell, which would be a state of soul so mired in shame and guilt that it thought itself cut-off from the Light of the ALL THAT IS.. BUT it is a self-imposed prison.. and people are in it every day.. here, now. There can be no separation.. because ALL THAT IS, includes us... we are tiny little flames, sparks of the divine light (souls)... it is ALL connected. you, me, the trees, the animals, the stars.. and the angels.. and God. Heaven is also a state of mind (or soul) it is God Consciousness.. it is being so aligned with love that the Light of God shines purely and directly through the soul.. or as Jesus said, My will and the Father's will are one. It is within that The Kingdom of Heaven comes, it is within that Hell abides also... then it is brought forth or manifest in the world.. THROUGH US. Nature is nature...and there is no moral value that can be attributed to nature... but the "evil".. the real "evil" in the world is directly rom humans. People starving is not God's doing.. it's ours for not caring enough to share what we have... wars are not God's doing, that's us too.. all the horrid things in the world... WE are responsible. Even in the case of diseases.. a lot are directly attributable to our choices in how we live and what we do to our enivronment, to our nutrition and other controllable factors.. the others...guess what? Over the last century we have ERADICATED a whole lot of deadly diseases through caring and working together. Wow.. that's a really amazing manifestation of our creative abilities.. why should "God" step in and do for us what we can do for ourselves? Do we really want to remain spiritual infants forever?. I don't. I suspect that the spiritual world is very similar to this one (an afterlife) just not constrained by linear time and space.. where thoughts are instantly manifested instead of it having to process through dense matter.. and maybe that's why we are here.. to learn control and right use of our creative abilities in a plane where we won't destroy the universe with a selfish thought (a sort of playpen). Maybe Satan has also been constrained to this plane.. to learn his own lessons in a place where his creative/destructive abilities are constrained for the saftey of the rest of creation.. it's thought.

9) Why should we have blind fate?
Who said we should? We are sentient and usually rational creatures with amazing perceptive abilities and imaginations.. Trust in the goodness of life, or even in the goodness of God doesn't mean we should be sheep, or hand over our logic and ability to ratinally critique anything. Trust that life is basically good has nothing to do with being a dumbass who accepts anything just because a book has it written in it or a spiritual leader "said so".. especially if it is hearsay.. that's just handing one's power over to others.. NEVER a wise decision.. and one the reasons the world is in the mess it is in.. we hand over our power to church leaders, and politicians and lawyers and big business... because we are LAZY.. and we don't want to take responsibility...we want "Big Brother" or "Parent" to take care of us...we don't want to grow the heck up and look around and see that it is US that is making a mess of things... we don't want to KNOW that it is up to each individual to make this world a better place... shucks we might have to gve up the game on Sunday, or not buy that 50 inch big screen tv.. or not drive to the bloody corner store in our SUV's.. or actually become AWARE of the very real suffering in the world.. and take the RISK of standing up for what we really believe in IN A WAY THAT MIGHT ACTUALLY MEAN puting our lives at risk... or even just our cushy little existences. We are COWARDS... most of us.

When we stand before God (and from NDE's this does seen like a possibility) God isn't going to ask what we did... he's going to ask why we didn't ______________. He's going to ask what we did with our talents and our compassion and what we didn't do for our neighbor.. when we could have. And from what I understand each and every person will see not only what they did or didn't do but HOW THAT AFFECTED OTHERS including the FEELINGS... and we will be left to judge ourselves with this omnipresent view.

There may be a facet of "God" that is similar to us... but considering the universe I think it extremely arrogant and anthrocentric to believe that God is even remotely just that.... I am sure that "God" in totality is so beyond our comprehension that it would be imposible to even begin to describe.. why do you think that revelation has come through messengers such as the Buddha, Jesus or any human? Could it be because "God" is so immense that even reducing the spiritual concepts and light would be almost impossible unless it came through a matrix (human mind or consciousness) that is close to if not like our own? Most religions speak of an heirarchy... a stepping down of power from God through stages (or beings) to humans... in the Bible these are describesd as beings..principalities and such...all the way down to Archangels and then angels and then the "inspired" or "blessed" or "enlightened" of people. This was illustrated in the story of the 10 Commandments in the Bible.. and has parallel stories in many other faiths. God did not "appear" to Moses.. God merely used a bush and fire (energy) to reflect the message.. and that semed to have affected Moses to the point where you get the impression that it easily could have killed him.

Jews don't believe in hell... yet they follow the same OT (and other writings of the Patriarchs) Did anyone think to question this? Jesus was a Jew... therefore he did not believe in Hell. Bad translations and centuries of dogma and myth have created the concept of hell, and punishment... and have even warped the role and position of "satan" (adversary.. actually a way of illustrating duality).

Ignorance is the worst sin of all.

Why God is silent? Why Earth? Why Satan? Why damnation? Heaven exists??
Posted: 3/30/2008 10:50:42 AM
Interesting thread... I guess I may as well add my two cents to the pile for all they're worth... Just what I believe.

1) Why God is silent?

Every sound you hear is God... If you ask why you don't hear It speak to you, just ask your conscience... In my way we are God.

2) Why God does not show himself to us?

"Know Thyself"

3) Why are we here on earth in the first place?

Specifically Earth? Why does one raindrop fall in the ocean and one fall in the street?

If you ask why we are anywhere, I have to guess and say that for the One to know Its infinite aspects, they must be allowed to play out as they grow through Change.

4) What’s God’s plan behind creating this world?

Well, to me if the first thought was "I AM", the first question would be "WHAT AM I?"... We are here to investigate... That's why we're so curious... God wants to hear your story and learn what We are...

5) Why God gave so much power to Satan/Evil?

Conscious change requires choice... True choice requires free will and intermingling and learning thru our interactions between ourselves requires difference between Us.

If something is to be labeled as "good" Duality automatically creates its opposite but one persons "good" is not always the same as anothers... Instead of condemning that and making an objective "good" thereby alienating parts of Us which see a different "good" , we should learn from it.

"Good" and "Bad" conduct should be easy to see when we realize we are all the same thing... Compassion comes easy to those we consider family so if we broaden that a bit and consider us all family, I believe the want to cause others pain will subside eventually.

6) Why God don’t eliminate Satan and directly protect us?

Satan doesn't need to be eliminated... Just the disease of "us and them"... For all of living in Duality, we have to remember that we are still only One... If you cut your finger do you cut it off creating a bigger wound or do you try to fix it?

7) Why the ever-lasting damnation?

Nothing is ever-lasting except the potential for change.

8) Is there really heaven and hell?

Only for the unawakened... The enlightened ones know that they are not under any gods control because they know that they are God... But thru cycles of change, the unawakened will become awakened eventually.

9) Why should we have blind fate?

There's nothing wrong with blind faith if you aren't trying to subvert another from their unique path... If a path takes an individual to anothers faith, that's cool but if they are coerced, it's like spiritual kid-napping... The Great Way consists of All Ways and all Ways lead to the Great Way and the Great Way is ever-growing thru change.

Anyways, these are again, just my opinions.

Cheers!

1) “Why God is silent?”
My god is my conscience, thus it relates to me all the time.
2) “Why God does not show himself to us?”
A visual conscience… that would be novel.
3) “Why are we here on earth in the first place?”
Apart from the mommy/daddy thing? To learn how to listen.
4) “What’s God’s plan behind creating this world?”
We create our own existence.
5) “Why God gave so much power to Satan/Evil?”
There is no Satan.
6) “Why God don’t eliminate Satan and directly protect us?”
As above.
7) “Why the ever-lasting damnation?”
There is no such intangible place…
8) “Is there really heaven and hell?”
…it’s a state of mind.
9) “Why should we have blind fate?”
Some people actually believe in fate, like love I guess it can be blind.

This is one of my biggest problem with religions that anthropomorphize a supreme being. It's a bit anthrocentric to apply terms of human punishment in terms of infinity.
There are 2 ways to view anthropomorphism. One is to say "G-d is like me". The other is to say "I am like G-d".
The former assumes that G-d's actions must be interpreted according to my model of perception, and must be interpreted according to how I think and act.
The latter assumes that my model of perception is inherently flawed, and that I am incapable of truly appreciating the full nature of G-d, that I attempt to understand G-d as best I can, but that I am always aware that I need to constantly expand my perceptions and keep them open to other alternatives.
IMHO, the latter is a more enlightened opinion, and is not anthrocentric at all.

I don't know about you,but just the temporal punishment for crimes here on earth is enough of a deterrant to me, as well the logical reason why certain things are crimes to begin with.
Keeping the above in mind, I would be very hesitant is telling G-d what to do, because I might be like G-d, but G-d certainly is a lot more than "like me", so there is probably a lot that G-d would know that I don't.

I also believe in the second position, even as a Catholic. The infinite cannot be reduced to the finite, but the infinite is in a way, possible to experience through the finite in various ways. This seems to be an axiom of all the world's major religions.

1) Why God is silent?

Some believe that they hear His voice! Others, He speaks to your soul. Me! I truly believe that for us to have the freewill that we have, that there could be no interference. The universe may have been initiated by that which we can't possibly fathom, but it is controlled by its own system of delicate balances between such extreme and powerful forces. Basically, it's acting of its own proverbial "freewill". Thus, so do we.

2) Why God does not show himself to us?
(See answer, Question 1)

3) Why are we here on earth in the first place?
We? No idea...Me? To be Me!

4) What’s God’s plan behind creating this world?
Objection, Your Honor!!! Calls for speculation...

5) Why God gave so much power to Satan/Evil?
Checks and Balances???

6) Why God don’t eliminate Satan and directly protect us?
Parts in the bible have been skewed by time...others, either adapted from other religious sources or misinterpreted legends, myths, or prophetic visions. Why doth Evil Exist??? Because Man Created It!!!

7) Why the ever-lasting damnation?
There are but two choices...Survival. Extinction. Perserverance and preservation through yet unknown (although open for speculation) means or the absolute nothingness of non-existence. Eternal life or Eternal oblivion. That's where your "Faith" comes into play.

8) Is there really heaven and hell?
"I can neither confirm nor deny that which I did not witness." However, I believe in no Hell....no Eternal fire. Heaven!!! Well, I do believe that ust as there are multiple levels to which one must grow (Flex to wiggle, wiggle to scoot, scoot to crawl, crawl to walk, walk to run.), such shall it be for those who believe, in the very least, that there is something more than this mortal life.

9) Why should we have blind fate?
Justice is blind, or at least should be. Faith, for me, is based upon knowledge and thought. Why should I believe that there is anything else needed besides what has been given to me through Life when there is no true "Word of God" that I recognize as authentic? Answer...I shouldn't because I don't. What I believe is what I See, not only through my knowledge, but through my understanding of this world, the universe, and Humans and our nature. Blind faith, to me, is impossible.

Why God is silent? Why Earth? Why Satan? Why damnation? Heaven exists??

wow. read a freeking book once in awhile.

1st - god is not silent, like someone already said, the universe is an expression of god.
2nd - god cast satan(lucifer) into hell, instead of killing him after he practically gave god the middle finger. god is all knowing and all powerful. he is using satan in his great design, satan is a pawn in god's chess board that he uses to test our faith. so for all of you that say god cannot kill satan, u're ignorant and foolish.
3rd - why Earth? well, who came up with the name Earth? god did not say "the planet Earth" in the bible, he talked about Earth as a whole, nature.
4th - why damnation? read genisis.
5th - why so much power to satan? well, if you've read anything at all, u would know that lucifer means "light". satan was at a time, god's right hand angel. satan grew greedy and wanted overthrow god. god didnt give him his powers after he cast him into hell.
6th - why dow god not show himself to us? we will see him in heaven. it's all about faith. besides as it says in the bible. no one can see god's face and live. one word from god's mouth, our human bodyies could not withstand the awesome power.
7th - heaven and hell? hell was created as a place for satan to reside, and if satan claimed someone against god, he owns their souls, so when they die, they go to hell. same with god and heaven.
8th - plan of creation? we can never know
9th - blind fate? definition of fate: the will or principle or determining cause by which things in general are believed to come to be as they are or events to happen as they do ======GOD

1) Why is God silent?

Laryngitis

2) Why does God not show himself to us?

He's incredibly ugly, and shy.

3) Why are we here in the first place?

By accident. God left the evolution program running whilst he's been away on business elsewhere in the universe. He intended to produce some nice plants and animals for his future holiday home but the program has run amok and thrown up a bunch of needlessly intelligent and destructive bipedal primates. Time for a cull when he returns no doubt!

4) What's God's plan behind creating this world.

As above - originally a holiday retreat for him, his lad and the pet ghost.

5) Why God gave so much power to Satan/Evil

Satan was employed as a gardener/caretaker to look after the Earth in Gods' absence but he has fallen into sloppy habits, discovered God's secret wine cellar and is neglecting his duties, hence the pesky primate infestation.

6) Why God doesn't eliminate Satan and directly protect us?

Satan will be fired when the Mainman returns. Unfortunately the invented mythologies that portray humans as the apple of Gods' eye are wide of the mark. He's actually got a soft spot for the cetaceans and intended dolphins as his most favoured species.

7) Why the ever-lasting damnation?

It's a myth. On his return, God will probably apply a quick acting weedkiller to aspects of creation that displease him.

8) Is there really a heaven and hell?

No.

9) Why should we have blind fate?

I don't know about that but Blind Faith were a short lived albeit talented so called "Super Group", comprising Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, Steve Winwood and a guitarist once wrongly acclaimed as God himself. Their purpose in life was to kind of fill the gap between Cream and Derek and the Dominoes.
