So if my date catches me oogling other girls during our date, I could pull the "it's not me ! I have a lazy eye" card?

Actually my cousin had one and had surgery to correct it...it isnt something that could exclude not dating someone...everyone has faults...they may not show | |

As long as the person is somewhat attractive and takes care of themself, what's the big deal. I dated a girl with a glass eye [until she had to move away and broke my heart]. For the record, I'm 6ft 4in tall and bear a strong resemblance to something from a horror movie. People stare at me all the time when I go out, so I know what it's like to be different and not "normal" [whatever the hell that is]. My attitude - who cares, stare all you want, stare for too long and I'll charge ya money. If someone has the courage to get to know me and be seen in public with The Lovechild of Lurch, they gotta be something special. And yeah, it has happened for me and it will happen for whoever it is that has the lazy eye, I assume it's piscescoda. Hang in there kid.

I married someone with an eye problem with both eyes...his lids would not come up and he had to have surgery to lift the eye lids. His daughter was born with the same affliction. We are not together anymore, but his eyes had nothing to do with it. That's kind of like saying would you date someone with one arm or one leg or a double amputee...they cannot help these things...they are part of who they are...and those people deserve to be treated and loved just like everyone else. | |

Posted: 10/30/2006 4:17:49 PM | What a silly question! YES, I would and just for the record the term "lazy eye" actually refers to a condition called amblyopia. Amblyopia is when one eye is uncorrectable with glasses, contacts and is not caused by disease. Because it cannot focus, the brain "shuts it off". It's a "blindness" of sorts. It can be CAUSED by uncorrected strabismus (crossed eye). The info posted about strabismus (don't remember by whom) is accurate. I've been in eye care for 20 yrs and to be fair....people confuse the two conditions often.

Just wanted to say the other day my girlfriend and I bumped into another girlfriends husband... he has a lazy eye super nice guy very decent and when he talks to you the one eye kinda wanders in a different direction.
Funny thing was after he walked away... my girlfriend said he's not bad...
I said I know.. he's kinda got that Bruce Willis Sex appeal thing going on....
It doesn't matter if a person has a lazy eye or not.. if they've got "it" they've got!!! | |
