| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/5/2008 10:41:39 AM | I can't believe how people come up with some of these preferences for dating... this never would have crossed my mind.... i don't get how it can be a deal breaker, that is just rediculous...lol. I actually laughed at the absurdity of this thread when i first saw it.....

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/5/2008 2:21:23 PM | I have in the past, and don't have anything against doing it in the future. Although I tend to look into a person's left eye when I'm talking to them, my friend in particular couldn't see out of his left eye very well; It was awkward at first, but I got used to it, and then started looking him in his better eye. If it's been a while since I've seen him, it takes me a minute to remember about it, but I don't have any problems after that.
As long as they have two eyes and not three, I'm okay with it. lol

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/5/2008 3:54:06 PM | | I was with a man who was almost totally blind for 4 years. What a great man he was and still is. I was able to get past that because of who he was and how much he meant to me. | |

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/5/2008 3:54:44 PM | | It shouldnt be a problem but there are alot of shallow people. For me it isnt a problem. A lazy eye doesnt make the person who they are inside. | |

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/5/2008 3:57:13 PM | | I did. She was great person and we had a good time. The was the hotness and when she wore her glasses you could not tell. When she was tired you could, but most people would not notice. I did not care cuz she was my girl. | |

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/5/2008 4:57:30 PM | I have dated a guy with a glass eye. There`s a lot more to a person then the eyes. Its the whole package and how he treats the people around him. | |

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/5/2008 5:01:06 PM | | To be blunt, I wouldn't go out of my way... but if the person was great in other respects, it certainly wouldn't stop me either. So I don't think it's a major factor in the end either way. | |

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/5/2008 5:07:24 PM | Recently I have thought about this as I've been interacting with a couple of women with lazy eyes and it's almost impossible to look 'em straight in the face and you can see them dodging your look too.
I find it really difficult to command myself to look straight at 'em and I do feel like making a humorous comment just to try and put us both at ease.
Yes, I would date someone with a lazy eye but I'd have to mention it at some point so we can acknowledge it and get it out of the way. The issue, that is, not the eye.
It just seems to drive my brain nuts when I'm talking to 'em.

To those who posted ignorant comments I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of responding. Maybe you should take a step back and take a good look at yourselves. Moving right along...
Society has high expections when it comes to perfection. News flash there is no such thing. Everbody has flaws no one is perfect! Cliche this cliche that It's whats on the inside that counts.

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/28/2008 1:50:41 PM | | I was operated on at the age of 6 because I had 2 lazy eyes, both were successfully corrected. My one eye is not as strong as the other though. I believe to not date someone because they had lazy eyes is being judgemental. No one is perfect. | |

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/28/2008 1:53:55 PM | | Yes, I would...I have seen some absolutely beautiful women in my lifetime with a lazy eye...The way I look it there are some physical traits we as humans have no control of, that is one of them...Now would I date someone that is LAZY, no! | |

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/28/2008 6:24:02 PM | It's not shallow. People can't help what they are attracted to. Humans use eye contact cues a lot. I was on an internet meet with someone who didn't warn me about his lazy eye. I also had a mean highschool teacher with one. Neither were mild cases. It always look like they are cross-eyed and looking elsewhere. I don't think there's any way I could be attracted.
I think they'd be better off wearing a pirate patch, actually. That's kind of macho looking, at least.

Being in a society where eye contact is so important. I can understand why this would or could be a problem for some people. But I don't think it should.
A lazy eye? Wouldn't bother me at all. A lazy a$$, now that would.

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/28/2008 11:51:29 PM | my left *lazy* eye is highly offended that you won't date her... oh wait , you're not dating someones *EYE* you're dating the entire person............riiiiiiiiiight?
sure we all have things we don't find attractive but I never figured a lazy eye was a big deal, Add me to the group that had surgery as a kidlet , I wear glasses and no one knows until as a poster above mentioned, I'm tired and without my glasses on .
just another one of those things people may or may not be attracted to , but if we keep limiting people based on things like baldness , lazy eyes, gap between teeth , big ears etc the dating pool is gonna be non existant!

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/29/2008 7:27:24 AM | | having a lazy eye is a form of child neglect in North america, this is corrective at young ages. This will show you something about the persons parentage right away. I empathize with the people, but there is no reason for it these days. Would i date someone with a lazy eye? yes, but i would and could never respect her parents for being so selfish as to not correct this when it was possible. | |

| Would you date someone with a lazy eye? Posted: 6/29/2008 11:09:35 AM | | How insensitve can some of you be?! Geez ... its an EYE! If you're basing a date or relationship on a lazy eye you need some help. That is just so rude! OP - I wonder what flaws you have that may make someone not want to date you...other than the fact you ask stupid questions! | |
