| | Friends with BeniftsPage 2 of 6 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) | | I was churning the idea in my head when a word or two Fauz said in his post hit me. Myth and when he said it's a great idea. FWB'S is alot like communism, great concept and looks good on paper but when you actually try it out the flaws are evident. In the end someone always gets a little more screwed and not only in the literal sense either. | |

Yeah, its a socialist/communist concept and sure looks lovely on paper, but in the end one person ends up capitializing on it more than the other and at that point it, then anarchy breaks out.
|
| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/7/2006 2:31:28 PM | | That is not always the case where one will capitialize on it more then the other. Alot of people are mature enough to handle this sort of friendhsip. At that point... both sides can benefit. I did post in here earlier on about my views so I won't get into it any further. But Friends with benefits do work.. with 2 consenting, mature adults. | |

| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/7/2006 2:52:56 PM | | I agree it can work it's just one of those situations that they too often get mixed up because of misinterpretations or someone falls for the other and the other doesn't want to go that way. | |
|
| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/7/2006 3:45:13 PM | | Yes.. that is the case sometimes... but that is why you have "the discussion" beforehand. So that both parties are in an understanding. If they aren't.. then it shouldn't happen. | |
|
| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/7/2006 6:37:11 PM | | I agree with nb_Native... friends with benifits is a great thing for people not in a relationship but not wanting to go without sex either. It's called MAINTENANCE. I love having a maintenance man. I would sooner be having my "benifits" from a friend rather than picking up some stranger I know nothing about. | |

Maintenance man, I love that!!!
Well having a FWB can be great but can have problems too. Once you do find that "special someone" it then becomes hard to stay friends with your FWB. "Knowing" each other in that way can cause strain on the friendship and I'm sure your new someone will suspect something more than just friends.
It's a risk you take, but I too would rather have someone I know than a total stranger.

| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/7/2006 7:16:07 PM | Yup, nothing like having a good oil change and lube job done to keep things running smoothly! LOL | |

| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/7/2006 11:37:22 PM | | I wondered about this question myself, and after a lot of pondering and research, I realized that in order for this to happen, you actually need to have friends... wow... totally puts me out of contension.... | |
|
| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/8/2006 4:49:59 AM | ok so where are all theses friends with benefits hanging out I;ll be your friend ladies and maintance man | |
|
| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/8/2006 4:54:16 AM | | See now I could use a maintenance man, the sink leaks and I need some painting done, and the lawn seeded....... | |
|
| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/8/2006 6:05:07 AM | | though i must say the benefit of having a friend out weighs being a loner | |

| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/9/2006 12:55:44 PM | FBW is a great thing if both decide that is what you want..... only that....
What happens when you decide that you are both game and then one person enjoys it more then the other, at that point I think it may become a little awkward........
|
| Friends with Benifts Posted: 6/9/2006 11:31:19 PM | Well some people have the capacity to stay within the pre arranged parameters. If the people are mature enough to be able to do this they should be mature enough to say "hey your not doing it for me.....do it this way and/or bye"
Like me i would be happy just to find someone to cuddle with....lol
I know cheesy! | |
