| Friends with Benifts Posted: 9/11/2007 6:17:03 PM | Nice to see some old threads again. I think the FWB thing can totally work with the right friendship but it can also backfire terribly. You have to make sure the communication is loud and clear and that the friends you choose to add this dimension to are mature and emotionally capable of handling it. If you pick the wrong friends, you can destroy the friendship. I've heard many people say that women are often unable to separate emotional intimacy from physical intimacy but I've found a few men who are tender this way as well. It's not a bad thing..but as I said, it can ruin your friendship. Choose wisely, be safe and make sure the "benefit" is worth risking the "friendship" for!
EDIT: the previous poster seems to be talking about another subject altogether and that is infidelity. When I think of FWB I think in terms of both friends being SINGLE consentual adults. If an innocent partner (mine OR the "friend's" gets hurt for MY pleasure, I'm sorry but THAT is a problem. Just my 2 cents. | |
