| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 9/21/2007 1:13:40 AM | With my son it was lamb bones... If I went missing it was guaranteed you'd find me in the kitchen gnawing on what remained of the joint, or even other peoples left over lamb chop bones. I had no shame.. With my daughter it was green veggies, curly kale was a favourite and spinach.... Ohh and yorkshire puddings... | |

| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 9/21/2007 6:35:19 AM | During my pregnancy, I started with Prawn Curries, then moved onto American Hard gums, nearly raw steaks with Lettuce and then Ice Cubes, used to eat them like they were sweets, then back to lettuce, used to buy 4-5 lettuces a day, and while washing them, just eat them dripping wet, oh so lovely.
Also used to buy small potions of chips with salt and vinegar, just so I could smell them, didn't want to eat them. YUK! (Looked funny walking around just smelling them)
Also went off sugar on cereals just liked strawberries or bananas on it, also went off sugar in tea, and to this day, don't put sugar in tea or on cereal.
Everyone said I would have a frozen rabbit when it came out. My son can't stand lettuce.

| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 9/21/2007 11:38:27 AM | First pregnancy was pinapple rings in syrup, used to keep a can opener and spoon in the car for the weekly shop, could n't wait until I got home before devouring at least one large can !
No cravings in the second, but lucozade was a 24 hour requirement in the third pregnancy, the only thing I could keep down !

| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 11/18/2007 11:45:34 PM | Luckily only went through it once
I became obsessive about bakewell tarts, mini ones with icing and cherry on top, and also those pyramid shapped ice lollie things, was getting through couple of boxes a week. My lips were ripped to shreads but i kept going at £10 a week extra on the shopping bill.
I missed my Bacardi soooo much when i was pregnant, but as soon as i could have some, i couldn't even stand the smell, still can't drink it now, prob not a bad thing

| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 11/19/2007 12:57:49 AM | Ice and orange Calippo ice lollies.
I used to crunch away on ice cubes. Prior to my pregnancy I hated having ice in drinks because of sensitive teeth.
Orange Calippos, I loved them, couldn't get enough!

| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 11/19/2007 3:48:49 AM | I thought this thread was about women who craved getting pregnant.. my mistake. | |
|
| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 11/19/2007 6:49:35 AM | First it was pickled gerkins - I was getting through about 3 jars a day (never liked them before)
Then it was cheese dipped in vinegar, and cheese and onion Ringos - had to be Ringos, other crisps just didnt do it.
The last one was ice - I would crunch it all day and night, my mum had a drawer in her freezer full for me if I went over there!
Ice seems to be quite a common one, reading through the thread.
|
| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 11/19/2007 7:10:24 AM | I have a boring one it seems...have been sucking and crunching away on Army & Navy sweets. Ice..ooooh too cold for me, and sets teeth on edge | |

| Pregnancy cravings......... Posted: 11/24/2007 3:49:45 PM | With my first child it was oranges - used to eat about 10 a day (nice and healthy)
Second child it was beetroot - not pickled but fresh and even better if I cooked it myself and ate it as soon as it was cool enough but to my horror (and the midwifes) I found it turned everything purple
My daughter craved cereals and the smell of bleach when she was pregnant!
