But c'mon,no freebee's should be given just cause earlier in round 1 Smilnlady got the Habs/Canes games correct which did go in overtime but she choose to dunno who will win in O.T. so if she could not get the point why................plus that would mean every1 who choose an O.T. prediction but with a no game correct prediction to go on top of,well,it would not be civilized at this point,i'm just saying this just cause it's totally evelavant{eventhough i may have got an O.T. correct but a no correct team in winning so}. I'd say nice try but no freebee's even if it's all in fun but.........................

Posted: 5/11/2006 1:33:51 AM | Oh boy! What a night! Seeing how San Jose played tonight, I'd liken them to the Calgary Flames on Game 7 versus the Ducks! Pathetic! Poor Toskala was hung out to dry by his teammates, who spent most of the game taking a collective nap! Now that my venting is out of the way, way to go Sabres! You rock! And then some!
OK, the issue of OT was never really addressed, hence, I thought there may be some confusion down the road. OT is only awarded 1 point if someone got the correct winning team AND the correct score IN ADDITION to calling OT. Call it a bonus for calling it bang on! If the incorrect team was picked or if the score was incorrect, OT doesn't get awarded. I hope this helps. Brian, I'm thinking after tonight's games, you're gonna be kicking some ASS anyway so who needs that one point! 
Some of you really turned out to be psychics on tonight's games and hence I suggest going out and buying a Pro Line & a Point Spread for tomorrow's games!

OK, back to the OT issue, which can yes, get quite complicated. To reiterate, you only get 1 point for OT if you 1) get the correct team AND 2) you get the correct score. If you get both and it went to 3 OT (like last night's Edm/SJ game), and you only guessed OT (like Brian did), you get 1 extra point because technicially, 1 OT had been played (before moving on to 2 OT and 3 OT). If you guessed 3 OT, yes, Q and Smack, you would get 3 additional points. So if it went to 10 OT, and you guessed 10 OT, you would get 10 extra points! Now, on the flipside, if you guessed 3 OT and it only went to 1 OT, you would NOT get a point because the 3rd OT did not get played and hence, you were wrong. Hope this helps!
Now maybe I'll get some input here as to late round predictions. Most of you had made your Round 2 predictions before the deadline that I posted but some people joining late also made some predictions. It was still early on in the round but I just wanted to get some feedback as to whether or not they should be included (as I'm sure there might be some debate about that).
