Posted: 5/26/2009 9:41:59 PM | Well, penguins series wasnt really a surprise but I'm sure Bruins would have given them a much more competitive match than the Canes did. Anyhow looks like a repeat is in order as patrick cane has been invisible for Chicago! I dont like the wings and I think Pens will go for the cup this year. With that said I'm gonna go ahead and predict that Penguins win in 6.

Posted: 5/26/2009 10:06:31 PM | The NHL said today if the wings win tomorrow.....The stanley cup finals would start this saturday may 30th/09...But i heard if it does start saturday the wings are a banged up team and they would only have two days to regroup from this series....Rather you could be on to something here....The pens would have 9 days off if the wings where to throw this game....Very interesting Also teams that have hade more then 8 days rest in the finals have lossed in every finals they have played in....I think the pens best shot at winning this time around would be if it start saturday.... | |

I think it'll still take 7 games for the Wings to beat'em this season and if the schedule's bumped ahead so Detroit doesn't have time for the old farts to mend/rest, the Pens'll have a decent shot. (all things considered it just MIGHT make sense for the Wings to throw a game but I still don't expect that to happen today) | |

May 30 12pm NOON EST. 40 points for the correct team, another 40 points if you call the correct number of games! So it's still anybody's game and I'd imagine there will be some strategy involved here also. Individual games will pay out 10 for the win and another 20 if you call the correct score for a possible 30 points for individual games. No OT bonuses.
I am torn here. My brain says Det in 6 yet my heart says Pitt in 5. I'll let it sink in a bit before posting. | |

My head says Pitt in 6 with Malkin walking away with his first Conn Smythe.
However, the prediction I am going with for the POF pool is as follows;
