The stick swinging is a for sure.. that was just a bonehead move. Iginla probably won't get anything.. I don't think it was a butt end shot, and the cross check happens all the time. But the upper cut shot to the Detroit players head when those two guys were on the ice.. that's almost as bad as McLennan. Even if words were exchanged or it was some sort of payback.. that's just gutless. If he doesn't get a suspension I hope some one takes his ****ing head off next game. | |

The game got a little chippy towards the end. That's the last we'll see of Kiprosoffs (sp) backup, what's his name? Mclennen was it?
Looking forward to tomorrows game in Calgary.
Might even get a little hockey in after they get done pummeling each other.

Ok, I know I said Wings in 5, but what the hell do I know. They've bowed out in the first round way too often the last few years dispite gaudy numbers during the regular season. So Wings in 7. This will hurt them for the next round. | |

I totally disagree. That low hit that Lebda threw was dirty - the kind that can end careers ( a la Bobby Orr style). Langkow was simply lettin' Lebda know exactly what he and his knees thought of that bullsh*t hit.
A two minute tripping penalty when one team has already won the game is not gonna send any kind of message to the offending player/team. But a solid knuckle sandwich will.

Posted: 4/21/2007 11:26:41 PM | OK, that was a bad day! Well, I knew Calgary was gonna lose this one, with 100% confidence as I posted, but I decided to go against my gut and wager against Detroit. Why? Cuz Bertuzzi sucks ass! The Flames felt utterly powerless, continuously losing on the road. It's like a disease! That's why I think Noodles lost it, I mean stir up the pot a bit. There's no chance in hell they were gonna win that game and so what if he gets a game or two, not like he was gonna start anyway! He had absolutely nothing to lose and the Flames had everything to gain. Maybe it served to add fuel to the fire for tomorrow's game. We will see shortly here.

Sure, there has been some rough stuff, some great games but to me it just feels like the playoffs are second nature to me this year. After what happened with Calgary yesterday, theres no doubt that Mclennan will get a suspension, probably 3 or 4 games.
With that being said, I think Detroit and Jersey close out their series today after all is said and done.

First off, Tortellini-for-brains needs to be fired. You can't burn out your top players and expect them to be able to generate any kind of offence. 30-plus minutes? Give me a break! And not just for Round 1 but for the last 2 or 3 months! What a dumbass strategy! Did he honestly think that would get his team further in the playoffs? Yeah, burn out your top 3 players before even winning Round 1 and think you have a chance at the Cup! Gimme a break! Jackass!
Next off, Calgary truely sucks ass and did not even deserve a spot in the playoffs. In fact, they should apologize to the Red Wings for wasting their time. 55 to 20 shots on goal - gimme a friggin break! How can you score when you can't even shoot the puck! 254 to 128 shots in the series! What a joke! Calgary does not deserve Kipper. Kipper should go to a more deserving team, like Tampa, once they fire Tortellini-for-brains. Tampa could give up Prospal & Fendotenko who are completely useless, in exchange. Looking at the pathetic Flames road record, maybe Playfair needs to go. Who knows? Maybe Tortellini-for-brains can take over on the bench once he gets fired from Tampa. He'll whip those jackasses into shape!
I'm tired of watching dumbasses continually dump the puck into the other end with no plan to actually mount an offensive play. Gone are the days of real amazing plays. Now, it's just ugly shit like jamming the puck in while 2 or 3 players are sitting on your goalie! Gimme a break! The playoffs suck now. | |
