As for the Oil's,let's be honest,no one expected them to win 2 games in that serie.

Posted: 4/30/2006 2:01:15 AM | *SIGH* Two teams saw their days end and sadly, one of them was my Lightning! From champs to chumps! **stards. Tortellini for brains is to blame for not starting Burke sooner! Their defensemen all but fell asleep, leaving Burke to fend for himself. Lecavalier, the useless bum! You'd think if one cherry picks enough, he'd score more often but sadly, breakaway after breakaway, nothing! I've never seen a team quit so early (Rangers not inclusive). It's like they were physically there but not emotionally or mentally. Well enough about them.
And what's with the Rangers? They're like a bunch of big babies! "Oh mommy! I fell down! Help me! Help me!" Yeah I'm talking about you Jagr! And there were others too. Anyhoo, Jersey's gonna be a force to be reckoned with.
And Venomous, tonight's special is Flame-roasted Duck, served with a side of Teemu Salami and a glass of Baby Duck champaign. Total cost: $0.50
Okay, so let's take care of the NJ/NYR game first:

While detroit won the Presidents trophy and has a 29 point differential on the Oilers during the regular season, people tend to forget the Wings play Columbus, Chicago and St.Louis 8 times cause their in the same conference. What was Detroits record against those teams you ask, 21 wins, 1 lose, 1ot lose and 1so lose. They got to feast on the worst teams in the western conference! While the Oilers played in easily the toughest division in all of sports! I'm not proclaiming the Oilers Stanley cup favs, but they do have the tools to go far if they beat the wings here tommorrow(Last two western conf teams who beat the "Mighty" Red Wings have gone on to the staley cup, losing both I might add;)). Its nice to see the Wings show their age with shanny and chelios that sieve! Anyways, I didn't get here in time to pick, but the Oilers have the momentum going into tommorrows game. | |

When we all made our original predictions, I think the majority of us picked Dallas to win in 5 or 6! Kudos to Modano for sticking it out with his team (despite injury). He's not a big baby like Jagr! As predicted (by most), the Sharks sent Nashville packing! See ya! Don't wanna be ya!

Posted: 5/2/2006 1:25:56 AM | Wow! I guess the surprise of the playoffs has got to be Edmonton beating Detroit and in 6 to boot! Merrick 98, you made a very valid point! Detroit only seemed to be greater than they actually were because they were playing teams like Columbus, St Louis, and Chicago all the time. Good call! The Flames, on the other hand, better pick up their game or they'll be sent packing and the Red Mile will be the Dead Mile! They can't rely so much on Kipper alone! Where's the damn offense? The Ducks played like a team desperate to win. The Flames were half asleep. If it wasn't for Kipper, it would've been like 10-1! Pathetic!
