| Results - Tuesday, April 22, 2008 Posted: 4/22/2008 11:53:12 PM | | That's why I've always liked this pool, because even if you get most of your picks wrong in the first round, you can rebound in the later rounds. I only won last year on the final day, and iirc never held the lead once the entire playoffs. Anyone can still win this thing. | |

West Semis
Detroit will knock out Colarado in 7

East Semis
Montreal will take out Philly in 6
Pittsburgh will also win their series over the Rangers in 6
Three of the four series ending in 6 how about that!

| Round 2 Posted: 4/23/2008 11:31:00 AM | """...Bottom line on my Rangers prediction is that Avery is going to get under Crosby's skin and i'm going to enjoy every second of it..."""
I think Pittsburgh as a whole will keep Avery a little more on the straight and narrow than the last series. Guys like Roberts, Malone, Laraque and Ruutu aren't gonna get ascared of a couple of broken teeth. I'm not putting all my picks up yet till I think thru the west a bit more, but I think this series difference will be in net. Fleury looked much better in the last two weeks of the schedule than he did against those decrepit Sens. I'm still not sold on Pitt's goalers. And i doubt very much that Avery throwing Fleury or Conklin or whoever the heck they go with in net, off their game, will make much of a difference. We're not talking an all-world goaltender here to get in his kitchen.
Lundquist will be the difference maker there.
In the east:
Flyers in 6 over the Montreal Riot...oh wait, that's the name of a soccer team. I mean Philly in 6 over the habs. Strangers in 6 over the Pengueenos.
