Posted: 5/13/2008 9:29:53 AM | yeah the whole idea of betting your points is just that. you bet them you win you get said points back, you pick the wrong team your out those points. gives the leader a good edge but even someone at the bottom has a shot.
so whats calling the series worth and correct games?
if a wager is made with correct score what will it be worth? ethier say 1.5 the bet or a set rate for score sound like they would work.

20 points for the correct team to win and an extra 20 for correct number of games.
For individual games, you can bet your own points (no limit). However, if you lose the game, you lose the points. Points will be added to your current totals (or subtracted) so it will be like season 2 where all 4 rounds counted, not like season 1 where the playoffs were a separate go-round.
You can bet what you have in the bank (which is great for those who have been doing well so far). If you pick the correct team to win, you win your wager. If you also get the score correct, you will get in addition, half your wager. For example, if I bet 20 points and win, I'll get 20 plus 10 if I also get the score correct. Because of this, I ask that you all make your wagers in even numbers please to make my life easier. If for whatever reason you post an odd number wager it will get rounded down. If you don't post a wager, I will assume you are guessing for fun. So your post should look like, and this is purely an example:
Det 4 Pitt 2 (wager=10)
If Det wins, you get 10 points. If you get the score correct also, you will get 15 points. If Pitt wins, you lose 10 points. If you have no more points left in the bank, you are out of the competition so wager carefully.
There will also be bonus points to make life even more interesting!
