Only when the male is 17!...
Seems wrong on so many levels...

And I'm not one to put age as a big factor...
So long as there is two adults, totally accountable
for themselves...(at least 21...imo)

Sassi my country[usa] has lots of hypocrites = believe me if legal age were 13 men and women in usa would be combing the schools . We have enough illegality from online and in real life that proves that point and its not just men its women also. My guess is many of the women are jealous of you that you have found love but I as a secure 42 yr old guy think thats great and good luck . You are breaking no laws and uk certain has alot more social freedoms than my country. Disregard the American politician rhetoric about america being the freest nation . Heck look at the uproar of Janet Jacksons visible breast for about 1/1000 of a second. NUFF SAID

17 years is alot of age difference, but actually may work if two people are for example, 30 and 47, or 40 and 57, because they are both adults. But a 34 year old woman is just that...a woman. And a 17 year old boy is STILL A BOY!!! I wouldn't want to be you when that kids mother finds out!!!

the sex is pretty good so i will stick with it and deal with the complications at a later date

ugh you just made me sick.

When my son is 17, I'll be 34. If you were sleeping with my son, you'd need a wheelchair to come near him. That would be after they unplugged you from the iron lung and the machine that makes your heart beat and breathes for you.

icky icky icky icky.

I can tell you from experience, age does matter.

My husband was 17 yrs older than I was. I met him when I was 20, he was 37. It was awsum. We soon married and had a wonderful life together for many many years. We even had 2 beautiful children together. It wasn't all about the sex for us. We really connected on many levels.
However, after many years, age did start to play a major role in our demise. Not because of the sex, that was always good. Other issues starting getting in the way. We had a hard time having friends, because all his friends we so much older and mine so much younger.
He didn't have the patience with the kids that I had. We were both wanting different things in life. He was old enuff that the young kids at home thing, wasn't his cup of tea. It drove wedges into the relationship. He turned out being very nasty to the boys and after taking it for a while, I finally had enuff and the marriage ended.
Please think of the future before you get too serious into a large age difference relationship, because although it does seem like any big deal in the beginning, it does catch up with you.
Terri.
I was with him a total of 22 years, the last 7-8 ending up being a living hell for me and my children.

My experience with an older woman,I was 24 when I met her,she was 37 and we had a great 3 years, prolly the only woman to ever break my heart..age didn't matter, and to most people I have ran into in older/younger situations,a lot of them are closer to their partners than anyone else, just because of the age deal...I personally prefer older women, because of my previous relationship with older women..

I agree. The first girl I ever dated was 37 and at the time I was 22.

We had fun for the first 2 mth's or so and the sex was great but the funny thing is, I was ready for a commited relationship and she was not. It was almost like the roles were reversed and in the end we broke up for a number of reasons mostly because she was working 3 jobs and about 80 hr's a week.

If I had to do it all over again I would because to this day I regret breaking up with her but at the time it was the right thing to do even though i was falling for her.

So age does play a part a little bit but if you two love eachother then who are we to say different.

"Sassi my country[usa] has lots of hypocrites = believe me if legal age were 13 men and women in usa would be combing the schools ."

Speak for yourself sicko.

"We have enough illegality from online and in real life that proves that point and its not just men its women also. My guess is many of the women are jealous of you that you have found love"

Nope, more like revolted due to how sick this is. Some of us just don't condone child molestation.

"but I as a secure 42 yr old guy think thats great and good luck . You are breaking no laws and uk certain has alot more social freedoms than my country."

Social freedom? Is that what you call all the dysfunctional ideas world wide?

"Disregard the American politician rhetoric about america being the freest nation ."

LOL as if we are the only ones who consider it such. If that were the case, we would not be constantly getting flooded with every immigrant who wants "freedom for a better life". If what you say is true, why aren't they all going some place else?

"Heck look at the uproar of Janet Jacksons visible breast for about 1/1000 of a second."

Because it was prime time when even small children are watching. But, from the rest of your post, apparently kiddy porn is even acceptable to you. NUFF SAID

oh man, i cant believe what im reading, a 34 yr woman with a 17 yr old guy, WHATEVER, thats not love Lassie, youre taking advantage of a youth, who is still a teenager, legal or not, in most countries you have to be at least 18 to vote, to own property or run for public office, that is just plain sick and twisted.

you know if the roles were reversed and it was a 34 yr man with a 17 yr old girl, the guys nuts would be dusted and busted? but because the OP is a woman its a different story?

yea no doubt,,there is a strong double standard in this country...I actually went to school with that Debbie Lafave chick that screwed the teenage kid here in Fla.,It was all over the news, and a bunch of B.S. that she got off,a lot of people are pissed..If that was a guy and the girl was a teen,he would be hung by his nuts,no doubt..double standards sucks..

That is all the right wing does is name call

i have the right to have a relationship with who i chose, im not looking for peoples agreement in what im doing. i am doing nothing wrong i am breaking no law.

We are happy doing what we are doing, i am not controlling him any way. I am aware all parents want to protect there children regardless of age, but you also have to give them freedom of choice. do you think when he turns 18 over night his thoughts on life will change and he will become a man. when does a guy become able to make his own choice wthout his mother saying thats wrong dont do it

I have not pushed this male into any thing he is loving the experience he is having while it lasts.

Who are you to judge me? is your life so perfect

I don't think anyone's judging you so much as we're all just a "tad" shocked!
I mean - come on - there IS a BIG difference between 17 and 34.
Give your head a shake!

sassilass,

only a woman who is a pervert who think that, thats why you have no pic up a typical obese woman who cant get a guy her age, shame on you.
I enjoy my life lady, but wont cradle rob and pick up a 17 girl, even at my age.

Ehhh, I don't know. That's a bit TOO much of an age difference, personally. I've been with women who were younger than me and the difference starts to show more and more as a relationship progresses. Sometimes, it's just little things like pop culture references that you might remember from the 80s that will go right over their head.

What happens when he grows up a little more, goes off to college and (like many people who hit college) end up going through changes there, as well? Nine times out of ten, he's not going to be the same person that you know now. I'm not saying that it's bad changes but they'll be significant enough.

Now personally, I'm always iffy on the age difference factor. Recently, I've become attracted to a girl who is 18 while I'm hitting 28 next month. Her profile had said 20 but for some reason, she couldn't put her actual age. When I found out that she was finishing High School this year, my attraction for her went down quite a bit. But, as you say about your guy, she carries her self older than she is.

Still, I'd have to agree with everyone here. I think it's far too much of a difference for any kind of real relationship to form.

Then again, we're all the same age when the lights go out.

When I was 35 my son was 17 ,I think I would have been rather embarrassed seeing someone around my sons age,but your going to do what you want no matter what anyone says any ways.

im not a prevert and as for not being able to get a man my own age, i dont have any problems attracting men of all ages. Just because i carry A few extra pounds like most people do does not mean i am entitled to love. We all have our own peferences to partners yours is obviously not for women who have any flesh on there bones but does that make your opion right? we all are attracted to different types of people. im glad i live in UK it appears we are more open minded in this country.

Look OP, if you want to continue to have a sexual relationship with a CHILD, go right ahead. The KID probably is just using you as much as you are using him.
